Cue Experts I Need your Help HELP

I don't know who made this cue.

The cue was refinished and rewrapped by Ernie Gutierrez who says positively he knows who made it.

Barry says his father did not make the cue or the blank.

Pete has not seen this cue.

I know a little more but lets go to the pics:

Huh? Never heard or either (and that is NOT what Ernie said). Are you serious ? Who are those guys?

And I may have heard "Rizzo?" out of Pete once on a different but related matter.

is Rizzo the guy that got in George's shop before Pete after George died?

I would have said Burton Spain blanked Balabushka - the butt design would be unusual for him maybe.

Its got that Balabushka tooling ridge inside the Delrin buttcap. Ernie felt that and proclaimed the cue a Bushka, but there's a problem with that.

What do you MEAN Gus blank makers? Gus used other guys blanks?

Ernie said it was a Balabuska. He felt the tooling ridge inside Delrin, looked at the joint and was all "done deal", but there's a problem with that,

Pete told me a guy got into George's shop before he did and bought some of George's materials. Do you know this story?

I agree the shaft insert is not the typical Balabushka style. It would normally be beveled.

I wonder how I would verify if that was the case.

Ernie did the finger on the tooling ridge deal and was sure it was a Balabushka. I am constantly telling Ernie he is wrong and I'm never right, but I don't think this is a George cue and Sean seems to verify that.

No idea how to confirm, it is the buttsleeve that "feels" like Peterson. If the shaft is original, the pilot should speak loudly, IMHO.

Maybe the shaft isn't original.

You could get the cue to Pete. There are many dimension points that he would know better than anyone. Although many are experts enough.
