There are certain cuemakers you can trust to refinish a cue the right way.$$$... Then you get new cue repair person's for the fast cash or dont use proper materials to do it right.
Thiers a local guy here benn doing 10+ years takes 1mm off your shaft when he cleans it he only uses sanpaper.
Just about everyone wants it done as cheap has possible, but only a few send it back to the manufacturer. Sometimes I recomend but have had cues come back bad from Mcdermott.
I bought a SW from a guy he just got it back from Cocker cues for a refinish. They gave the butt cap a 3/8 round over to remove the nicks instead of replaceing the butt cap with a new piece.$80 refinish with Cocker now became $400 with SW.
