I have a very old BBC here that I can not id. I have scoured the net and the blue book with no exact matches. Thick uncracked ivory Hoppe ring. Original ivory ferrule. Original leather wrap. One piece cue. Pretty straight. Flat head screw in bottom of butt. Weight stamp above Hoppe ring. I have been told that this may be an old custom back in the day when pool halls had cue lockers and guys would store their cues in them. Black but cap is rounded ala Rambow style. Any Brunswick experts out there know anything? Tate? Manwon? Anybody!

BBC masterstroke........1950's i believe

only thing diff is the hoppe ring in the bottom, as that was usually found in the willie hoppe professional around the same time.

tho I'm sure brunswick made a version of the masterstroke you could get that ring in it. I don't think thats far fetched at all.

I would also say Master Stroke blank. I have never seen one with the ivory ring. I am wondering if it might be a pre Master Stroke cue, the label will help Manwon or Tate make the call. Nice cue.

Master Strokes were two piece cues as far as I know and were labeled "Master Stroke". This is a one piece cue with an earlier Brunswick label. Earlier than the 50's.

Please post a photo of the cues joint and a photo of the cues shaft please include a good photo of the ferrule and the pin or insert at the joint.

Take care

I found a few pics of cues with the same label in the Pool and Billiards Collectables Guide.
Its seems the label places it around 1900. All the options in the cue you have pictured were available from Brunswick at the time. My guess is that it was a special order.

Thanks
Lee
