Cue ID, should be an easy one PICS ADDED IN LAST POST

Pawn shop cruising turned up a cue this morning, I usually am looking for old guns and knives.

Seems the cues are always Meucci's from the 90's with about 2.5" of roll and a $399 price tag

This one was straight, and no major damage, just an old beater.

$25 was too low to pass.

Points look well executed, hex head weight bolt under the bumper.

5/16x18 pin

Rings aren't raised up, unusual for an older cheap cue.

Veneers are pretty well executed too.

Hits em pretty well, shaft is 4.1oz with pretty tight grain.

Screams production cue, my guess is Viking or Mail? Can't find it in any catalogs tho

I'm certainly no expert but the ring looks like Meucci to me, I know I've seen that style before. May have been refinished/re-wrapped.

Butt doesn't look meucci to me, they pretty much always used the style plug
Ferrule is short , and it hits way too stiff

yeah it doesn't look like a meucci to me either. even the shafts meucci made before they went to the red or black dots had longer ferrules. they are the only brand that comes to mind when i think of that pin though. i think this is a custom job but i can't think of a maker for it

I'm leaning towards Huebler maybe
Weren't the butt decals kinda thin and wore off easily ?

Not really that easy, can you post pics of the joint and the shaft separately and also a picture of what is underneath the bumper?, it would help a lot unless it is still in the pawn shop that is

Here are some pics of the weight bolt and joint
I guess it wasn't an easy one lol!
Maybe it is signed under wrap, but I don't want to undo it unless I get it refinished, or has anyone had any luck unwapping and rewrapping a cue without a lathe?

Not a bad find for 25. If you were to spin the butt on a lathe, you could clean up that butt cap nicely. Forearm, points and veneers look nice too.

Wish I could find one or two like that. Mostly over priced Cue Tec snooker cues around my neck of the woods lately.

Ron, that is a pretty standard weight bolt for a screw in bumper.

Many builders use them and can be had at any Cue Supply web site.

Auerbach maybe?
I read his earlier ones weren't signed or logo'd

Any other makers that didn't sign some of their cues?

Some guys at the pool hall tonight are thinking its a Danny Stout,
Supposedly some earlier ones were unsigned
Pin is right and the rings look like they are similarly spaced

Anybody know someone familiar with stout cues that could confirm?

Sorry, not for sale
Just trying to ID it
Maybe get it refinished if it is worth anything
