Hello to anyone who reads this. I am inquirying as to who made the cue I have. It is from around 1970 and purchased in Indiana. I have tried to take good pictures to show details. It has a push in rubber bumper. Inside the buttcap there are a couple things written. One is the number 22 and the other writing I think is T&L or TAL and possibly EMC above it, but that could be my imagination on the EMC part. shafts are 28 1/4" in length and the butt is 28 1/2" in length. It is made of ebony. It is hard to see without good lighting, but it has a single ring at the base of the sleeve and is bluish like the joint ring work. The joint is .826" in diameter and the wall is about .17" thick. Above the wrap is 1.1", below thewrap is 1.24", and buttcap is 1.27". If you need more information on specs, just ask and I will try to answer. Here are some pictures.

I noticed when I posted pictures that the shafts have something written on them. I think they say: 22-CH
 
Looks like mid-late '70s to me. I think the joint rings were a common style about that time, I have no idea of the make. Looks like good quality, though.
 
As far as the year goes, it could be later. The gentleman is in his late 70's and said he bouht in the 70's in Indianapollis. The tips of the points are 2 1/2" from the black ring closest to the points.

My heart skipped a little when I saw your picture.
I had a 71 Szamboti that looked a lot like this.
The collar looked the same but mine had blue/green where yours has
reddish/brown on the points.
My bumper was the old brown color, like my 68 Joss....and I think it
fitted in differently. My linen grip was in the same shape.

I think you have a fantastic looking cue and you should not let it go.
 
No idea who made it, but nice looking cue. In the pics of the shafts it looks like there could be writing on them around the little piece the butt screws into. In one pic it looks like they both end with an "H". Is that writing by any chance or just markings?

Hello. That is stated in at teh bottom of one of my posts. It is 22-CH on each shaft.
 
Looks a lot like this cue... except different colors. This was the donor cue to our Klein Szam blank project. I thought it was a Palmer, it could have been a Fedunka.

I'm trying to get some other opinions.

Is the joint thread 5/16X18 or is it 5/16 X 14?

Have you checked it to see if the ferrules are screw on?

Looks like a Balabushka. I used to own one that looked very similar. Also, Palmer was putting out Balabushka-type cues in the mid-late 70s, called their 'Balabushka' models that could pass for Balabushkas.

Hello Chris. The joint is 5/16X18 and I tried using a magnet to see if it would stick to the ferrule like other Palmers I have had, but it didn't, so I believe they are glued on. I haven't seen Palmers with this style ringwork, but Randyg says he has Palmers with this ringwork so i guess they do exist. I appreciate all the responses I have gotten so far.

Well I'm checking the Palmer angle. The joint looks like a Palmer but the same joint was also used by Adam and others. This cue has a lot of Palmer traits, but some differences as well - so we'll see if we can get down to the bottom of it.

It clould be a custom Palmer so please don't sell it until we have a chance to research it just a bit more.
