Do not believe it is a Bushka, think it might be an Adams possibly.
Hi Marcus,
i`m Markus from Cologne/Germany and the owner of that cue. Thanx for your reply. I´m interesstet in the details of the determination from that cue to a real bushka. Maybe i will be a little more competent in future...
Have you any idea what it could be?

hi marcus, hi maurice,
thanks for information. The different in the joint i can see, but i don`t know why he wouldn`t have used this blank....
In that classic-cues hp i found this: "the prong wood could be oak, mahogany, rosewood or ebony". Did he never use any from maple? I can`t belive... Most bushkas looks like having a maple-prong. (from far away... Never seen one in my hands. ;-) )
has anybody an idea, what it could be else? A very early helmstetter-attemp, a unknown artist... The hit is very straight and stiff. You can feel the old, dry ans hard wood very clearly.

Hi guys,
A friend of mine owns this cue and says it is 30 or more years old.
Obviously it looks alot like a GB-1 but it is too old for that.
The cue is not signed anywhere. I took some pictures, I can take more.
The cues weight bolt kinda tell sit all, this style weight bolt is commonly used on import cues. It addition, Balabushka used Delrin for a butt cap material unlike the plastic material pictured. The cues points / splice also leads me to believe that the cue is a 80's model Adams. I would suspect that the cue is one of the early Balabushka models made by Adams. They started making the Balabushka Series cues in the early 80's, I think you friends estimate of the cues age is not correct.
Please include an additional photo of the cues butt with the weight bolt removed.
Thanks Craig
