thanks guys.. will call them in the morning to see if they offer a motor in 220V.

Kam,

Just buy a transformer from ur local electrical shop. Should be cheaper this way.

Snookered<=== do the same to his lathe :)

A crutch tip works great for shaft maintanence. I"ve been doing it for several years now and have cleaned/polished/tipped probably about 50 shafts with no problems.

Buy a crutch tip. Drill a hole in the bottom and put a 2" bolt through it with a 1" flat washer on each side and a nut on the outside. Chuck it up in a hand drill and you have a shaft spinner.

Just lay the drill on a table and hold the tip end of the shaft in your hand or lay it on a towel.

I used a 1/2" drill because that was the only type I could find that had a lockable trigger.

I think there were pics in a previous thread. Try a search for crutch tip

tried something similar but the shafts tend to wobble a lot .. am looking for something a little bit more solid ...

thanks for the suggestion, though

The Small "shaft Only" Machines Are Cheaply Built And Innacurate. I've Tried Several Different Ones.

The Hghtower Stuff Is Very Nice, And He's Easy Enough To Work With.

My Preference However Is The Cue Companion. I Actually Have Three Of Them.

I'd Be Willing To Sell One If Your Interested. Let Me Know.
