Cue makers, itrader and threats

As a rule, I try to not get involved in disputes between two parties here on the forums. There is no way to tell which side it telling me something closer to the truth and I don't want to be accused of playing favorites.

However, when multiple cue makers start reporting the same thing, it gets my attention.

This forum is not here as a tool for cue buyers and sellers to intimidate cuemakers into doing what they want under fear of bad PR.

We had a user doing this and the user was warned that it had to stop. He continued doing what he was doing and he now been given a vacation from the forums. When his vacation ends, we will see if he can play nice with others. If not, the vacation will be permanent.

Dakota Cues had a point I agree he was over the top abrasive in trying to convey it though. Walk softly and carry a big stick or something like that would have served him greatly. I might have to buy that cue from him though.

If he badmouthed a maker WITH A BIG LIE, shouldn't he be banned forever ?
Like the shaft was crooked but no longer crooked when he tried to sell it ?

I think putting it on here should be a last resort i.e. if every other way of trying to resolve the issue has been exhausted (phone calls, emails/pms etc). Even if you have no other choice but to put it on here to get opinions it should not be done to intimidate a cuemaker/seller/buyer to do this or that "or else". Keep emotions out of it as much as possible and keep it as objective as possible. I have seen multiple times where a friend of a cuemaker or seller/buyer helps out the OP that is having the issue when that person asks what the mass would do in their situation in a polite manner. Being polite and professional seems to get slightly better results then making threatening demands.

Was that thread removed?
I think removing it is a bad idea since the only thing I saw was disparaging remarks about a Lomax cue. If Lomax responded it should probably stay so people are allowed to see both sides of the story.
Unless of course it spun out of control so badly there is nothing that come from it.
