I know exactly who this POS is. His name isn't Bernie, it's Bernard. Black guy about 6'2" carries a grey cue case with back straps and a black dealer case with a bunch of stained forearms in it.
He goes around to places that predominately has league players & leagues. Carries a plain Black Boar with the crown butt cap, tells everyone he works for Black Boar, lets them hit with the plain Boar he has with him & then goes off into this spiel about how he can take one of those stained forearms he carries around in a rainbow of color varieties in that black dealer case & turn them into their dream cue all the while throwing around the Black Boar name constantly during his sales pitch talking about "special glues" & ferrule less shafts. The guys a con man.
I went to a place called Triple 9's one Saturday night where they have a tournament looking for action with Jimbo a Filipino player who plays that tournament a lot. We matched up & I had a front row seat watching this Bernard clown preying on a pair of female league players there to play in the tournament letting them hit with the Boar he was carrying on the table next to ours & talking a line of crap 10 miles deep about custom cues he was going to make these girls. Anyone with a slight bit of knowledge about cues could see through this guys crap in about 3 seconds but they seemed mesmerized with his tall tales. It finally got so annoying I pointed out to the females he was full of crap & that there were a number of reputable cue makers in the area like Leon Sly & Bob Frey they could visit & get a real custom cue. He didn't take too kindly to it. Supposedly a one pocket player but when offered up a game he declined, packed up his little rip off show kit & left. This guy is a real piece of work. There's no way I believe some like Black Boar Tony with the rep he has in this business has this lying con man piece of crap working for him. Guys a natural salesmen though. Before we monkey wrenched him Jimbo looked at me while this guy was in the fever of his sales pitch and said to me, "This guy missed his calling, he should be a used car salesman".
