Trades

Looking for plain jane or sneaky petes, $200 to $300 in value. McD. retails for about $1000 = Trades + $700 to $800 will work.
Thanks

those guyz REALLY love green.

They are Irish what do you expect, although I have two of these cues for sale myself and they look better in hand than in the pictures.

My cues are 24 / 100 and 25 / 100, one with a leather wrap, and one with Irish linen.

Jim McDermott sold the company years ago. I doubt the new president is Irish Claude Napier ?

my second good cue was a mcdermott c-18 bought in the early 80's. i bought it with a nickel-silver joint, no stain in the butt, and shafts that were 3/4" longer (i'm only 5'5" tall). it looked great at the factory (even though the factory cue was stained and had a white joint and standard shafts). the images at the mcdermott don't do their old cues justice. the c18 was a beautiful cue. white inlays with green clovers...no cnc...all hand cut:

i got the cue and played with it for years. over the years the cue developed a "tink" sound. i eventually sold the cue to flaco here in nyc with the understanding that he would only sell it to me if he got tired of it. of course he sold it to someone else who cut the shafts down. damn.

i shoot with much softer hitting cues...although i get the hardest tips i can find. i have one gilbert (w/3 shafts) and one coker (w/2 shafts). they both play great. i looked at the new mcdermott cues...they're fine for apa players, but i doubt any serious player would spend money on one when there are much better hitting cues out there that are reasonably priced.
