cue shrinkage?

I have a J&J J/B cue. When I bought it, it was 19.2oz. Now it is 18.8oz. I also think it has shrunken some in total size, although I can't prove it as I didn't measure it when I got it (each section is now 28.75").

I'm sure it's the cue and not my scale because my other cues have remained consistent, and my scale still matches up perfectly with the post office scale every time I ship something.

Any ideas what could cause this?

I wonder if it is just getting old and needs some Viagra. or a little eye candy like a new Gina cue with a patent leather wrap.
 
I should say I've had the cue now 6 months, so this has happened since May.

I was thinking it might be water but yeah that's a lot of water. My scale only goes to the tenth of an ounce so maybe it really went from 19.15oz to 18.84oz, which is .31oz. Maybe more reasonable?
 
Use penis enlarger pills for chalk times two weeks and then call me. DR. Johnnyt
 
Hey, it happens to the best of us. Or so I am told. Just grind up some Viagra and use it for chalk. But be warned. I'm not sure how big it will get. :D

If your actual loss in weight is .40 oz that equates to a 2% wt. loss. If it was .30 oz that would equate to 1.5% wt. loss. Both could be attributed to moisture content loss. Was the cue stored in a air conditioned room with very low humidity?

i'm in vegas, too and its 100% dehydration-vegas is hell on cues, the newer they are the worse it is,

that's because the wood was cut down only 3 days before the cue was made.
 
So is there any way to avoid this weight loss? Move outta Vegas?

Thankfully so far any nicer cue I've bought has remained pretty steady, although now that I think about it I think I may have had a few other cues lose .1 or so. I guess the trick is to either not buy the cheapo cues or to buy them a little heavier than I want.

some cues just dont survive vegas, some do.
