What nobody is realizing is rockets tip is a piece of ultra soft material with sandpaper on top….
Only thing that MIGHT do it would be some 1970's NFL football-stickem like Fred Belitnikoff used. What nobody is realizing is rockets tip is a piece of ultra soft material with sandpaper on top….
I see what you're saying, but by my definition it actually rotates around all three axes:...the ball doesn't rotate along multiple axis. ex, i you put low right on the cb it will turn on one axis, a tilted axis due to the strike on the cb.
NO. JFC people its not that complicated. His cb moved sideways because the off-center strike deflected the cb into the ob causing the sideways scoot.I can actually get the same effect by hopping the cb slightly off the object ball.. maybe that’s what is going on. But that shot I’m referencing needs to be hit pretty hard, has to be farther away, and will still only move about as far as Rocket’s shot did. And it has to be hit with some sidespin. So when it hits the table the sin catches slightly and moves the cb over.
Rocket I think I figured out your problem. You have a stroke problem. Watch your first shot your backhand swings to the right when you twist your cue it goes straight because you’re preventing it from going to the right. Therefore you’re not aiming to the center to start with. Your aim is slightly off to the right. So here is the shot. First a dead on stop shot. Second, the same dead on shot. Watch the wrist and the cue ball on each shot. That’s all I ask. The pocket is narrowed as well. Enjoy
Whatever minute amount of spin that imparts will be lost after the cueball rolls a foot down table.No. You turn your wrist as you stroke. It is a center strike on the cue. What the shooter try’s to do is have the chalk “grab” the cue ball , creating the ball to spin. Like the hands of a clock spinning the ball not by English perse. But by the friction created by spinning the shaft on impact and in turn spinning the cue ball
You are right. I haven’t practiced a lick in 9 years. I just got my table from being a storage table My stroke is horrid and to be honest I shouldn’t even of brought up this thread. I’m even debating whether I should get on a league this winter. Remembering all the arguments both from our team and another. Interesting enough was the “in”fighting amongst our own team back then. The best league for me has been APA. But that was way back in the 90’sRocket I think I figured out your problem. You have a stroke problem. To be more specific when you grip the cue after your warmups it goes to the right slightly. You are right. I haven’t practiced a lick in 9 years. Ya think?????? Not ONE decent much less good player i've seen in 40+yrs of being around pool has twisted their hand like this during the stroke. Only hacks and suckers. Sorry but that's the stone truth. This guy is not delivering the cue straight, hence the sideways ball movement.Rocket I think I figured out your problem. You have a stroke problem. Huh? Ball only turns on one axis. That axis might be tilted due to where cb is struck but its not turning on multiple axis. All CBs spin on a dual (actually triple) axis if you hit them with high or low side.

Waste chalk, yes, that’s what you should do:I will agree after I see high speed footage. Or better yet. You have a stick, you try it. What’s the worst that can happen?? A little wasted chalk?
Like I said 9 years , no practice. = one shitty stroke. To be more specific when you grip the cue after your warmups it goes to the right slightly.
Dude why you yelling?? We haven’t any proof thru videography yet.Waste chalk, yes, that’s what you should do:
Use a stripe for your cue ball. Put the number staring you right in the face and orient it the same way for every shot.
Use a stripe vertically aligned for object ball.
Sticker up a straight in like you would for the Mighty X, (long rail, short rail) 2,1 and 6,3.
Shoot a stop shot 5 times. If the ball sits and rotates sideways more than a quarter turn, it’s a miss. The stripe in the object ball shouldn’t wobble much, if any on the way to the pocket.
Waste some chalk on your tip before every shot and check the chalk mark after every shot. Note the placement of the mark and how the cue ball reacted; clockwise rotation, no rotation, etc.
Now do the same thing, but shoot your stop shot with your wrist twist.
Note the throw of the object ball and direction of rotation.
Note the rotation of your cue ball as it comes to a rest. Check your chalk mark and realize that YOU ARE NOT HITTING CENTER BALL.
I'd be getting a lot of misses and I'm not trying to do anything clever with the cue.Shoot a stop shot 5 times. If the ball sits and rotates sideways more than a quarter turn, it’s a miss
You maybe have done it forever and that’s how you personally play. Try holding the cue the same on your warmups as on your final stroke and see if your stop shot still works.Like I said 9 years , no practice. = one shitty stroke.
Correction slides or skids. It is a centered shot after all.Whatever minute amount of spin that imparts will be lost after the cueball rolls a foot down table.
I didn’t miss and I narrowed the pocket.I'd be getting a lot of misses and I'm not trying to do anything clever with the cue.
