Cue tip feedback---->> hirano layered tip <------

i tried one, it is an excellent tip, one of the best layered tips out there IMO. the tip is 4 thick layers of leather, so it hits a lot more like a one piece tip, without the feeling that half your tip is made of glue. they are not as tall as a lot of layered tips, so they install slightly thinner from the get go. i tried a medium hardness and it did not mushroom and held chalk well. tips are subjective, but i'd highly recommend one.

i hear the new moori v tip is also a similar construction (using fewer, thicker layers). perhaps a new trend in tips?

I dont know anything about these
Anybody here tried them ???
THANKS

Best advice I can give you is, IMHO there are NO MAGIC CUE TIPS. Find one you like, and stick with it. It don't matter what Pro plays with a HYPED TIP, they get em for FREE MOSTLY, and GREEN to endorse products like TIP, Cues, Cases, etc.

Couldn't agree more:smile:

Hirano tips a still a small operation here in Japan so the tips are good quality and carefully produced, kind of like what moori use to before they started mass producing tips.

its all kinda banter... do any of you even own one? any way I got one to try out and see if its up there with kamui black imo. thats just my opinion that kamui is the best tip, i think if you want to blame nothing but yourself for missing a shot is by eliminating the variables...thats not it though...
I want to know what people think about them that have used them, im about to put one on my z2 tommorrow its a hirano soft...

Also who ever said that they are not as thick as other layered tips...your worng... I own 3 diffrent kamui tips a morri tip and this hirano..all of these are not on any cues they are in a baggy, and they are the same exact size as kamui morri and all the others...maybe the one you saw was trimed, i can post a pic if you all want to see.

but i will be making a thread about this tip after a month or so of use.

I've been using one for awhile now and think it is a great tip. I installed a medium on my player and a Kumari black medium on another cue at about the same time. It, too, is a very good tip. The Kamuri hits more like a hard tip than a medium one. The Hirano hits like a true medium tip. They both deliver a good ''HIT'', but I like the Hirano slightly better because it seems to hold chalk better.

thanks about Some News finally- Hirano

Hey (cowboy) there is nothing New about the use of 4 layered fatter layers- Tads been doing it for years-He makes his own! thanks to all!! Mark

I got a little baggy of them to test a year or so ago from Miki Mezz. He was giving them out as trials for a friend of his. I really like them. They play great & feel exactly as described by the hardness. The only one I haven't tried is the soft. IMO they are better than ANY other layered tip I have used. I like the natural feel of the 4 thick layers vs. the multiple layers in most layered tips. I'm not sure where to buy them or how much they cost. But if I were a layered tip kinda guy i'd be finding out so I could get a load.
