Can I purchase these tips directly from you, and if so, how much are they?? I would like to buy some. Thank you for your time.

Yeah, having looked around on this forum, seems people are so keen to change things regularly... I think this is endemic to pool. I was changing my tip yearly when playing snooker (3 times a week). I was using Super Hard tips. To the point where my snooker cue pings harder than some of the CF shafts friends here are using.

When I started playing pool, I changed a couple of times in the beginning, as I was figuring out the density/hardness or whatever you call it that I would prefer in this game. Hard doesn't work for me on these small tables with lively cushions... But actually, I see no reason why the tips I have adjusted to now, won't live a long and fulfilling life haha (using Longoni listed as M, but I'd say they're M/H, on my maple shafts and definite M - Moori that came on the Musashi I am using as my current playing shaft. I put MW M's on my Mezz expire/hybrid pro shafts which I was using prior - the ILC Monster Shaft I use for Chinese-8 has a rock Hard Searing)

I've gone through periods of playing almost every single day (as I had a few ups and downs in life this year) and all the tips, even the oldest and most used, are pretty minty still. If anything, they are nearly worn in... not nearly worn out :ROFLMAO:

You make the milk duds yourself? My dad does all kinds of weird shit to his snooker cue tips. He's got 100s in a box in the garage. A bit like a mad scientist. Did tell him that it's physically impossible to use them all...

Yeah tips are funny things, its not always the most expensive, that will work for you.
I recently put a new moori on. That was junk, it came off, after a few days.i had a couple good ones in the past, and than that. Complete waste of $18. Then i found a very nice le pro, that was just right. So you never know.

From my own experience, Milk duds are basically soaked, then dried. Then pressed. Makes them more consistent.
I've made them from, some old elk masters i had lying around. I soaked them for about 4 days in the fridge. Thay double in size, untll you press them.

Strange thing about tips. I wear foam earplugs at pool and noticed a few months ago the cushy feeling Tiger tip was making a clicky sound like down to the ferrule Elkmasters. The tip is still on the top layer and just hardened I guess. Makes no real difference to me except I can't draw - yeah I know...
Anyway with the earplugs, the tip feels like the cushy med. it was!
Psycho acoustic hardness needs to be a spec or warning label or something...

My dad is doing this to elkmasters too. Not sure of his exact process. I think he’s a nutter 😂 but a nutter who is also a standard of snooker player I could only dream of.

Thanks!! Was able to contact him and get set up. Appreciate the info!!
The guys on here are the best!! Y'all Rock!!

Varner always wore the tip down ''if it played good'' till it got close to the ferrule. Back then tho, with ivory the backing always separated the tip from the ferrule.
