cue tip

I would like to know if Gus always used the same tip or if it was customer preference. If he used the same kind, what was it? Thanks

Big Al
Al, I am not certain if did or didn’t use the same tips. But, I would bet that he either used Le Pro or Triangle cue tips. In the late 60s and through the 1970s they were very popular. In addition there wasn’t a large selection of tips around like today, so I suspect that’s what he used, I could be wrong, but I don’t think so.

Try a pressed Le Pro medium leather tip, you might really like it!!!👍👍👍👍

I had several tips put on by Gus back in Jersey and they were always Le Pro tips.
If he had any others I dont know.
Like manwon said back in the day there were not a lot of tips around.
If you needed a new tip you just had one put on rarely even asking what brand it was, same with chalk you just used want the room had mostly Masters.
The game was simpler back then.

Thanks, I have some LePro tips, but I don't have a presser. I will check into getting one.
