Cue trade question before posting them

I have way more cues than I need and I am running out of cases to hold them.

I have never posted a cue for sale or trade on here and I am assuming that a cue for trade would be posted in the For Sale forum since there is no Trade Forum.

I am not really interested in selling them, but I may be interested in doing a two-for-one trade if one was offered that suited me. That would allow me to reduce by one cue and get a chance to try another cue.

Is the For Sale forum the place to post?

Yes

For those that may be interested, I will make a thread in the For Sale section as soon as I can measure all my cues’ specs and weights and take some photographs.

I haven’t figured out which cues I will list first, but my first instinct is to post two customs.

One is a Murray Tucker cocobolo Sneaky Pete with two shafts that was made in 2000. It is one of the first five cues Murray ever made. It was refinished by Murray and has two original shafts.

The other is a Mike Gulyassy 60” Merry Widow PHX with a leather wrap. It is made of black and white ebony and has one PHX shaft. I texted Mike and he said he would charge $1350 to make another of this cue with one PHX shaft.

Both cues are in excellent condition.

Look through your stash and see if you may have something we can deal on.

Post the cue pics first and then edit the specs into the post later? I think most people taking multiple cues from you for one of their cues are probably sellers wanting inventory. They probably don't care too much about exact specs. Just thinking out loud. I could be wrong.

Uhm...not sure how it works there in Hawaii but in the rest of the world buying and selling IS trading.

In buying and selling with cash there is usually a monetary amount that is easily deduced for the item being sold.

For example, “I want $3 US for this 3 pounds of avocados” (when avocados are selling at $1 a pound).

When dealing in cues that isn’t the case. You may think your cue is worth $500 and I may see the same cue listed for $300, or vice versa. Some people value the hit of their cue more than the cost of the cue. I have turned down $1500 cash for a production cue I bought new for $220. I have been offered over $1000 for it on numerous occasions. You can find the cue for less, but you won’t be getting mine.

I am willing to trade one cue or both cues for something someone may offer that we both feel is equivalent in value.

Just buy more cases
Then he wouldn't have a reason to post in the main forum and give detailed descriptions of the cues he has to "trade", complete with retail replacement cost, including the maximum images allowed.
All under the guise of asking "a question before posting".

His mentor should be proud.

Who is your mentor, Columbo?

You seem to have anointed yourself as the forum detective.

Quit worrying about cues for sale and go buy his raincoat.

Spin and conflate all you want. I've noticed nearly every post of yours however contains some reference to how may cues you have. Self absorbed much?
