This cue is three weeks old, does this flaw near the joint look like it could become an issue?

Thanks in advance....

Sometimes, it helps to tell us what you see as a flaw....Are you referencing what I circled in red? If so, it looks like either finish lift, if the joint has finish on it, or scratches in the stainless. If this is not what you mean, then you should point out what you are referring to.

Doesn't the title of the post tell you what/where the flaw is? It's in the wood, if I'm not mistaken.

To clarify my concern is the 1/4 inch line of discolored wood next to the joint, over time could this blemish in the wood be an area of weakness and possibly crack with a change in humidity temp etc?

Could it potentially affect its secondary market value?

There's nothing wrong with it. Wood is not perfect when it comes to clean.

AZB would not be my first choice for information regarding wood.
Too many resident experts, all with differing opinions.
At which point, would you be any further ahead ?
Though in this case there does appear to be some consensus.
What you are showing is a mineral mark or streak.
It has absolutely no effect on the integrity of the wood.
You can confirm this and so much more by using Google.
Why would you be concerned about the 'secondary market' ?
Isn't that where you got the cue ?

I'll get you started with the 'Google' thing :

Read until your heart is content. Your anxiety and concern will both thank you.
