i was wondering has anyone ever order anything from cuecomponents.com? i'm looking for moori tips. i've tryed pm-ing matty but he said he's out of morri slows. if anyone has any clue where i can buy some let me know ;) thanks
 
Hi Andy, a friend of mine orders bunches of stuff from them.
Have no worries with those guys. He's making me a shaft
with the Joe Gold wood from Cuecomponents. Hope this helps.

worked well for me

I have ordered several times from Cue Components and been very happy. The one time there was a minor issue, I was shorted some ivory due to a scale error, Joe almost doubled my original order at no charge when he made good on the error! I have been hoping he would short me again ever since then but no such luck. :D

I won't order from Cue Components

I had a bad experience with them several years ago. I won an eBay auction for some of their "premium" shaft dowels. What I received were second grade dowels instead of the premium dowels that were described in the auction. After countless e-mails and the same number of snotty replies from them, they finally admitted that they sent me the wrong dowels. Then, the only solution they offered was..."Well, ship them back and we'll refund your money". I didn't want my money back. I wanted what I paid for, but I was tired of fighting with them.

I didn't like the way I was treated and I personally won't deal with them again.
 
I know of many bad deals including myself. I will quit making cues before ordering throught them. They double charge your card and the money takes up to a week to fall back in. You will bounce checks and have headaches. The wood is not as described either.

I've always been treated very well by them. I've gotten a bunch of stuff over the years and its all been shipped quickly and as good or better than expected. Absolute best prices on sniper tips!

As far as Moori tips are concerned I've always gotten them from Cyrus Tong. I usually buy 10-15 tips at a time from him. To get that price from someone here in the States I'd have to order about 50 tips. He also has stellar prices on Kamui. I ordered 8 from him and paid 50 cents each less than someone who ordered 75 from a supplier in the states. I order from him and get them in about 7-10 days.

Unfortunately, I have heard of many similar problems dealing with them and receiving less than professional service to correct the issues. :(

I too stopped ordering from him as so did a few high end cuemakers.
Ivory ferulle's to small diameter + full of chatter I tried a few final size shaft's warped and full of chattter. He sent wrong type matierial ferulle's charged me and it was an obvious mistake.

To deal with him is mostly buyer beware.
