Cuemaker build off

Hello ftgokie, hope all is well and you were able to get everything sorted out/resolved with what was happening. That was a hit awhile back and I hope that you were able to recover.

Question, are you or Eric going to post pics of the cues and case before this tips off?

Man, a9ballbr8k, every stinking time I see your avatar..well, I really dont know what to think... Id love to see that kid either holding a bunch of balloons or some red roses...dont know why, I just would:thumbup:

Yes, I have a photographer that will be taking pics to post on here....I will also video and put it on youtube of the cues, me playing with each, and my comments on each cue and case. That way everyone will be able to see them and will know what to somewhat expect.

Same question here. Can I get on also?

Merlin...unfortunately, with so few of post, no Itrader, and such a new join date. You are not able to participate.....UNLESS, you can get a REPUTABLE member on here to vouch for you...Sorry...hope this helps...I am sure you are a stand up guy, we agreed to go buy these guidelines to protect everyone involved......Thats not to say if the cues are going to be in yoru area..you can go test them.....

Hope this helps

Shawn

We had a snag in shipping on 1 cue from the builder to Eric....seems the cue was lost in the mail....we are working on getting this rectified so we can get on with the build off.....hope ths works out for that cue maker! I know I for one was excited about testing his cue...

Will keep everyone updated

Tropical testing

ftgokie,

I'm newly registered but been reading the boards for years.
I live out in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Humidity here is like 110%
If you want to see how your cues hold up in "extreme" weather then I'd be glad to join - I'll pay my fair share.

Just tested a new Pinoy cue, will post in detail later.

Hi Matt.....We have decided we cant ship these cues out of the country due to Customs...We dont want any problems with them going out and coming into the USA. Its not that we dont trust our brothers and sister pool players overseas...we just dont trust Customs and dont want to take a chance on losing these cues.......Sorry

Seems rather hypocritical to point out my join date considering it's a month after yours. I also haven't spammed the board since joining, but if that's what you want to base it off of, so be it. Good luck with your reviews.

You not being a tester was not based on your join date. It was based on your ITrader...and honestly, if you had 10 post, and 10 positive I trader...you would have been allowed to have the cues shipped to you.. The ITrader is really the biggest deciding factor if you recieve the cues or not. There are so many new people joining here lately I feel this way we can protect the cue builders, and the people shipping the cues...Sorry if this doesnt sit well with you...I am just trying to make this as safe as possible for all involved...but I realize I cant please everyone all the time...If you know a reputable member on here that is willing to vouch for you, I would be more than happy to add you to the list of testers

Regards,
Shawn

been a few days just looking for an update.

Eric has recieved the 3rd cue.

2 other cuemakers should be shipping their cues to him shortly.

1 cuemaker I have not been able to contact but will keep trying.

1 cuemaker mailed his cue, but the cue was lost in the mail..so we are working to try and rectify that situation..

Still have not heard anything from JB Cases on the case he made just for this event.. I will send him another pm and see where we stand.

Its getting down to the wire.....The pucker factor is getting alot tighter.....Its gonna be a good one..

been almost a week since last contact. how are we doing? any updates

1 cue was lost through the US Postal Service.....That cuemaker has another in the works and should be finished in the next couple weeks..

I trust he shipped it with tracking and insurance... wink wink :D

Unfortunately no....he realizes now he made a mistake...he did have a backup cue for this that should be finished in a week or so..we are trying to see what we can do about it..but my friend that works for the USPS is on vacation in Germany right now and he wont be home till next week sometime...maybe he can give us some insight on what the cuemaker can do to help him out....he just may be out that cue though unfortunately :frown:

GUYS.....just a FYI.....if you are EVER gonna ship a cue.....I say if its over 50.00 man...INSURE THAT DUDE....its better off to spend a few extra $ to protect yourself than to be out that cue.....INSURE. INSURE.INSURE

And these cues that will be tested for the buildoff....they HAVE TO BE INSURED when they are shipped from person to person....NO EXCEPTIONS!
