i'm speaking of the 1st video of me & him sitting in lawn chairs ,
kicking back pounding beers and watching the cuemonster cut the inlays
it's a tuff job, but somebody has to do it :lol:

this cue has been a pain in the ass since day one:(
see the ugly knot that popped out in the forearm
anyways, i was at joe bakers shop for the last couple days and we,
really HE,
cut in three purpleheart windows on the front & butt to conceal this flaw

thanks to joe for bailing my butt out and of course we always have a great time on these trips

Thanks for the pics those are some great action shots. I am a week end cue maker and I dont make alot of cues but the ones I have made about killed me. They rarely go as planed.

How come you used that piece in the first place? From the looks of it, the flaw must have been visible. Just curious.

unless i have another booger pop out on a nice piece of wood :eek:,
this will most likely be the only cue of mine* (*and joes) you'll ever see with inlays

it's not that i dont like them,
there's a bazillion guys that do them
i dont do points either, again a bazillion guys do them
inlayless cues and butterflies only for me (so far) ;)
 
Brent the windows definitely looks better than the big poo stain :thumbup:. Nice cue.

yep, there was a turd in the middle of the birdseye
maybe it was bird poop , i dunno
but it's "gone" now
when joe cut the pocket, it was almost gone at the inlay depth of .120
just one of those fluke thingies
