Does this sound like the guy? Charles A. Wheeler, age 63?

Has anyone been ripped off enough to press charges?

About the same age...colors his hair/beard...never got his last name...

Hey Rodney. Well, between you and me, and the friends we have in the pool world in this area, you'd think we'd hear something more.

His name supposedly is Chuck Wheeler. But, that could be a fake.

Fred

I have spoken with a couple of people about him, and they didn't have anything nice to say. I really didn't hear any exact stories, but i can find out some specifics by someone that is real trustworthy.

That's good - well the first thing is to make sure we have the right guy. Now, if he screws any more people, when they google this name it will come up.

This guy hasn't done anything to me except exaggerated about his knowledge and experience. He informed me that he worked for Palmer yet nobody ever heard of him, then he backpedaled on that story.

But if he had screwed me or my friends, he would find himself in a world of legal hurt. You can legally do a lot to a criminal who defrauds you, it's just a matter of making the effort.

Let Charles A. "Chuck" Wheeler be warned that there are a lot of cue collectors in a very small world. Chuck, you are being watched by people who know what to do if you break the law.

If you are not a con artist, come here and speak your piece.

I am confident that you are reading this, Chuck, since I notified you about this discussion by e-mail. My assumption is that you cannot defend yourself against these allegations if we don't hear from you.

Well, let's put it this way...I don't recall asking...he may have said it but I didn't really care. I was there strictly to conduct business and if he said he was Tony Saprano I probably still wouldn't have caught it. Too often I have seen guys (young/old) taken by mail scams and that's why I offered to go there to see his merchandise. If he would have said no...then I knew he didn't have the Omega/DPK that he had advertised. I mean after all, if your going to pay a significant amount of cash for a cue what's $250.00 in the whole scheme of things. On second thought I should have bought that Schick titlist...it was nice.

Well Marcus, I think you should get your cue back. You know living in a perfect world and all. But you took 500 and didn't get a police report. Those two things work against you. Also if anything were to happen now to Chuck, you and a few people should start working on their alibies right now. Never put in print, what you might regret later.

well, 978 534-8965 is the same number for the man named "gene" who tried to rip me off in the mid-90's. never did give me a last name. i wonder if he still has an ad in the local want-advertiser like he use to. i'll buy one and check it out. i'm only 1/2 hour from leominster.

guy

paybacks are a PAIN!!

sooner or later he will get what is due him! i have seen some things happen to people that were so ironic. somtthing will just go oh so terribly bad for him. maybe we will hear aboutit, maybe not. but what he sows he will reap.

So soon people forget

Do an RSB search. Forget phone and isp search as he's got a router.

Maybe, maybe not. Are you sure it's an Omega/DPK? We know you got a JW out of the deal, but the there are lots of cues that could be passed off as Omega's. Dealing with someone like this, who's going to be certain? That Schick might have been a Gillette too.

This is the time when he first started out using Pinoy cuemakers. Notice his mention of Bing Cues together with the legends. This is his kick-off on marketing Filipino cues.

This is when Warren L talked about a letter from a Filipino cuemaker (XXXX) that q#@&###%@$ aka cuemuseum was using. http://groups.google.com.ph/group/rec.sport.billiard/msg/e9bf1cc7b572a9bc?dmode=source

Do a RSB search, it can never be deleted. It's all there.

Chris,

I've been playing pool and in the business (on the side) for over twenty years and collecting for about ten years...doesn't make me an expert but I've been around enough to know what's going on.

I saw your e-bay feedback and what you're selling - I have no doubt you know your stuff.

JOE,
I'VE ACCEPTED THE FACT THAT I GOT F'D ON THE CUE.(ALTHOUGH I'D LOVE TO HAVE IT BACK) IT HAPPENS, I MADE THAT MONEY BACK, AND I LEARNED ALOT OF VALUABLE INFORMATION IN THE PROCESS.

JUST TO BE CLEAR, I NEVER THREATENED TO HARM IN ANY WAY CHUCK TAYLOR(OR WHATEVER HIS NAME IS) AND I WOULD HAVE NO INTENTION OF DOING ANY HARM TO HIM OR HIS BELONGINGS. WHAT I DID SAY WAS THAT IT'S FUNNY HOW THOSE THINGS HAPPEN TO THE PEOPLE THAT DESERVE IT.
