Cues and Cases seen in TCOM?

Okay, I've wondered about this for years...I know Dan Janes made some cues for the movie, notably the "Balabushka" (J18, now an N7), I assume the cue Vincent uses at the end is another Joss, can't see it clearly enough to decipher the model. Keith McCready says he used his own Schon (interesting, I've never seen an ivory jointed Schon, but it looked sharp!). I've always wondered:

1. What cue is Julian using in his match with Fast Eddie? You get a glimpse of the horse shoes inlaid in the butt sleeve when he rakes the 1-9 combo in to cede one game...Haven't seen a cue use horse shoes that way (except one Tim Scruggs, and they were tiny), I'm looking into a custom cue with that feature...surprised you don't see that more often in designs, with the whole horse shoe/luck angle, it's a pretty cool inlay. If it was a Joss, Dan Janes ought to bring that design back!

2. What case is Larry Mataya carrying under his arm in the Green Room? For that matter, what case is Vincent using at the end of the movie? Vincent's is a beautiful lacquered wooden case with some sort of floral pattern inlaid/painted on. Larry's case looks like green tooled leather or maybe a green wood case? Haven't seen that style case in a long time!

The Horseshoe cue was a Joss. I do remember it from a catalog back then.

Case?

I have the case Forest Whitaker was using when he hustled Eddie.

I'll have to watch that scene again closely. If I recall, after asking Eddie, "do you think I need to lose some weight?", I thought Whitaker simply puts the butt and shaft over his shoulder and walks off camera. I don't recall seeing him using a case, but I must be wrong if you have the case.

Exactly! Hence, he has the same case, ie, just holding his damn cue :)

If you mean the scene where Julian and friend discover Fast Eddie hitting balls again - stopping to "just say hello." That is "Pretty Boy Floyd" Jimmy Mataya.

Yeah, McDermott was my guess, too, but I remember him posting on here a while back that he used his own Schon in the movie...Maybe he or JAM will see this and confirm?
