This was in the Books section of the NYT yesterday.
 
I believe that is a Pool Room charging 1 cent per cue to play. :yes:

I think that's per person. Lunch for two is 5c. I can't see a cue costing less than half a sandwich. Any idea from what year?
 
I guess i am that old i recognize that neighborhood when i was a kid.:eek:
I would think a little bit after the depression.

Yes, I realized when I posted it that the price is probably not for the actual sale of a cue. However, I do find it interesting that if this is a table-time advertisement, how such a cost is worded.

In the end, it doesn't really matter and if it bothers you, you can delete the pic from your cache and try to forget about it.

Ive deleted it from everywhere and it's still buggin me. I think it's still in a temporary file somewhere. This is so damn aggravating!!
 
All I know is that I want a hot dog now and I don't have any buns in the fridge.

GREAT pic Jude! you think in 100 years people would long for the day when you could grab a McDouble for a buck at McDonalds? Will neon and other type of signage look as "old school" as the signage in the pic you have? I bet it will. Now you got me overthinking it...THANKS!! :grin:
