I've tried Blackpearlcue by Al Bautista and they are absolutely well built. I've had the cue since last year and no problem with it, they're not the cheapest pinoy cue but man they play good and are built as good as any american cue in the price range or higher. A great guy to deal with too. I am very certain my cue will stay straight and play good, and am even more certain that if there's any problem Al will back his cue.
Another Pinoy cue i've tried is Joel Dadivas, also known as JD Cues. I've bought 4 JD Cues so far and they're extremely well priced and alot of cue for the money. They're made well but finishing could be better, that said it might've improved since the last i bought the cue was last year.
My JD cue has been with me for almost 9 months now and they're perfectly straight and plays really well.
I've only 2 cues with slight issues before, but seller and JD was quick to resolve the problems and explained the reason to me.
To add, you pay peanuts you get monkey. It applies globally no matter what language you speak, so if the pinoy cue is darn cheap beware same goes for cues in the states isn't it? I'd say give these pinoy cue makers a chance, there are real good ones afterall they didn't come up with so many good pool players without realising how to make the right tools huh?
