custom 2x4 cases

yes i understand, i think he kinda just took more then he thought he could handle....

yup, and wanting to get started he offered things for way less than he should have, and wanting to please people he took too many orders and promised delivery times he ended up not being able to meet.

Spilt milk, lesson learned.

I know NOTHING of leather, and I'm just trying to get things organized, with proper supplies, realistic prices / delivery times and get Chaz out of this little hole he's dug. It has already taken money, now it's just a matter of time and patience. Hopefully, a very few weeks.

Chaz IS doing gorgeous work, each one better than the last, but, starting this up from nothing we've made some mistakes, and over reached.

Hang in there, we ARE working to get you cases you'll be proud of.

Feltmaster is done, and Chaz is either shipping or delivering tomorrow.

Fast-n-loose should be done tomorrow and ship Thursday, Friday latest.

Bencho, I know your case is simple, and we're embarrassed it's taking so long, it's a product of the dye problem. Chaz tells me he if things go smoothly with the other two, with a little luck he may have yours to ship Friday as well.

i won the "build your own case" raffle and have not recieved anything as of yet. i have seen a few pics of other peoples cases in the works but still nothing as of yet on mine. i call every 2 weeks and get the same "i should have it done and sent out this weekend" every time. what is going on here?

I cant believe its only been one case out but im very positive that Chaz is doing his best. Im also confident I cant find a 4x8 custom at this price.

Chaz called and told me mine was going out UPS for delivery Friday.
I will post pictures over the weekend.

This should have been done first thing, and updated as progress was made. People like tangible things and status updates will keep people happy. Even better would be a numerical value of the percentage to completion. I'm patient but this really has been a rather long wait. If dyes weren't working, let me know ahead of time. I was told that everything was basically done several times, weeks ago. Then suddenly offered to choose between some leathers... which implies that it hasn't even been started?

Can I make the same suggestion I have made many times on here?

go to www.leatherworker.net and sign up and participate. The good and experienced people there will gladly give you FREE and ACCURATE advice on everything you need to know to do leather work, including dye and sewing machines.

Spend a little money on the right books and tutorials concerning leather and leather coloring. Not that you haven't done this but if you haven't then it's really worth it, especially if you are trying to do a bunch of special requests and you either don't know the proper techniques or don't have the right materials to fulfill them.

He's been doing that, and like I said, jumped off a little early, while still learning some things, so been playing catch up in materials and techniques we needed.

It's coming together, just things never go as fast as we'd all like, me included.:rolleyes:

I'm kinda holding my breath and crossing fingers and toes that "the other shoe doesn't drop" and things continue to improve and things start to roll.

The last couple weeks have been better and there is daylight.

No case here either, asked for a tracking number, no response all day.........
Told me sent it Weds UPS ground, only one service within Florida............

I spoke to Chaz this afternoon.... sort of. He got his phone wet, and sounds like he's on Mars. :rolleyes: He did email and text me and said he was in contact with you.

We "overlap" on the weekends and I am headed over to his shop to check things out and get some progress reports where I can actually see what's going on.

So, you got your case and were not on Dirty's update list.......hmm so, since you started the review thread I think you should post some photos of your case with some comments..."Overall, I'm pretty happy..." We all want to see this case.
 
Well...

I hated to do it, but I asked for a deadline. two weeks from today in my hand or a refund.

I am done waiting.
