Love the color combo... Can't wait to see finished photos.

What are you having it wrapped in?

Black linen, no spec. I can't play with leather. I think the plain black linen will make the veneers pop even by not attracting any attention to the wrap. Can't wait, it should be done in less than a week.

Great looking cue !! Lotta guys building fine cues nowadays....not like the good 'ol days.

Please give us details on that joint.. Looks 5/16x14 piloted ivory... What is the pin made out of? Is it anodized black? Or another material? Looks sweet!

5/16-14 piloted non figure Juma (I didn't want ivory). And yes it is anodized pin.

Beautiful Hoppe!

I love the look of this cue. Those colors are awesome. I really like how simple and balanced you kept the whole cue's design. The black anodized pin and black linen wrap are just whip cream on that cake!

Please let us all know how it hits when you have it.

Thanks for sharing...Good shooting to you,

Kevin

P.S. I have a cue with similar colors on a dark cocobolo forearm coming later this year. Now after seeing your sweet cue I'm doubly excited for my own build to be done!

What exactly is it made of and how, sorry it's just the first time I see a 5/16x14 pin like that.

Annodizing is only the color.. they take the regular metal and add a electrical charge to it and the color is hardened to it.. its really popular in motorcycle parts and car parts.. and such..

although, i would imagine its capable of wearing off from constant rubbing..
aslo fades in direct sunlight over long periods of time..

here is a pic orf my motorcycle with some anodized metal parts, bolts and screws are common too..

chris

the blue and the gold in the first picture are anodized aluminum..

and the gold break and clutch levers are anodized gold in the second pic..

Bad ass cue!

Need more info on the builder, please.

Josh

As stated by Randal Justin produces his creations in Milton outta the First Choice Billiards shop. Justin is a fantastic man, exceptionally talented, very meticulous and first rate to deal with. Although not a known name in cue building nothing but the highest quality work ever leaves the shop. Justin has an exceptional eye for detail and his veneer color combinations are always spot on. Hopefully all this praise will get him to help finish my cue. Lol. Keep up the good work Justin. I love the EonE

That's all spot on. Justin is newer cue builder and will definitely be a big name one day. He just recently bought the cue building and repair side of First Choice Billiards, so he is now working for himself (same location) and is now devoting all of his time to cue building and repair. He does fantastic work and like mentioned above, NOTHING leaves his shop unless it is perfect, his attention to detail is incredible and he is highly talented.

Here are some more cues he's done in the past. These are off his Facebook which you can add him on Justin Daniliunas

Inspired by CMD's Murrell cue?

Well it's funny, I saw that cue and I told Justin wanted something like that. And he already had point stock with the colours in the cue above (not exactly the same colours as the murrell) so it was perfect. I just knew I wanted ebony on ebony... Then the stacked veneers idea around the hoppe ring I got from the murrell cue. Which turned out awesome.

But I should be careful, I know CMD is very anal about people even mentioning his cues ;)

Justin is on AZ under the user name xpatcan1. I didn't make the connection until you showed the cocobolo 7 veneer cue that's also in the Cue & Case Gallery.

Great stuff!

Good shooting to you,

Kevin
