Wondering if anyone could tell me anything about KC custom cues... How they play etc. Thanks

I'm sure you get what you pay for. The hit, as always, is subjective. But you should compare the hit of these to other similarily-priced production cues, not custom cues.

Do a SEARCH and you'll find a few other threads about these. I think that most people were relatively satisfied, given what they paid for them.

Very true, sir.

I bought one, about a year ago, to use on the "road" every now and again. I put 60 bucks into it....and for 60 bucks, it played great. As long as somebody doesn't try to compare it to a well crafted custom cue, they should be relatively pleased with the resulting playability.

For the money, they're not bad. Not great......but not bad.

I have 2 or 3 of KC cues-Southwest knock offs for sale, nice cues for the money. If interested PM me
Thanks

i also had one that i bought for 50, sneaky pete style, to have as an extra throw away cue. warped after a month. very badly. now all its good for is to literally throw away.
emailed kc about the shaft, and they offered to sell me another one for 50 bucks. just laughed at them. junk. dont waste your money.

KC cue answers!!

I currently own a KC Cue. It is the sneaky pete version. It is a Southwest copy. The only thing a disliked that the weight bolt was made undersized. It did give some vibration as his ad mentioned. I asked him for a replacement weight 4 months ago and gave up. I just took the weight out completely.
It is my main shooting cue at this time. It is simple and solid. But to pay the retail listed price is a no no. I ordered my stick with 2 shafts and joint protectors and paid just under $100.(this was thru an Ebay auction)
It is IMO a basic run of the mill cue. If you are going to spend the retail price for one I would rather see you get a something with better gaurentee.
The shafts are thick and very short tapers. Tips are to hard. Need to change from water buffalo to LePro tips. I little softer hit for better control.
Just like what was said. You pay for what you get.
I am happy with mine but I improved on my stick above the normal.
I hope this will help.

KC Cues

I would suggest that you jump into one of their auctions near the end....if you have a couple friends that are looking for a cue then I would suggest you try to buy a lot of three (3) for about $100 then keep one and sell the other two (2).

Really the cues are not that bad and for something less than $50 you can't expect much IMO   :D

FYI, I believe these cues have a BAS_T___RD thread which may be a problem in the future.

But, then again, you could simply buy a nice SP from me or Brent
(stix4sale) here on AZ for a $100 to $150 price range ....oh well -- decisions  decisions ;)

:) :) :)

Ahhhh, the finer points of subtle marketing!!! :)

How's it going, Ken? How're the next batch of cues coming along? Making any 8 pointers with ivory yet???

I'm gonna get one of your cues soon, buddy...before you become a household name! Same goes for one of Brent's cues, too.

I tried some of the sneaky pete style in the three different woods. I got them like 3 for a hundred. The shafts were too fat the tips to hard. Point seams were rough. I was lucky I found some guy that just wanted the different woods to hang and match his wall. He knew nothing about cues.
You talk to me before about buying some cues from me. No lie I would suggest that you revisit that idea. :D

Yessir,

The new Palmer cues are definitely worth a looksie....but, it's hard to beat a KC cue for under $50 -- heck, you couldn't get me to sell you a shaft for that amount of $$$ :D ;)

Happy Holidays :)

The gentleman selling these products advertises them as KC Custom Cues. However, do not be fooled they are made in China along with many other production cue brands.

The gentleman / dealer is also Asian and I believe he is directly responsible for all improtation of this product in the USA.

I have contact him on eBay, and asked him who the custom cue makers are that he outlines in his eBay sales format. He became very defensive and would not answer my questions, I suspect that the importation of these cues my be happening through a back door or by mail because he swears that they are made in the USA.

I checked him out through another dealer and discovered that he was importing the cues from China. I have played with a couple of these cues that were bought by my customers, and as another poster said above with about $60 or $70 dollars of additional modification they play OK.

However, for the same amount of money total, why buy something that you have modify, when you can buy an American made cue from McDermott for around $140.00 that will shoot just fine and has a Life Time Warranty.

However you go, good luck, but remember you always get what you pay for.

Have a nice night.

Aren't there two different KC cues on eBay?

One is KC China import .. and I thought the other one was made by someone named Carson or something  Or more likely I'm just getting older ...

Who knows, but a lot of older guys usually keep me at the rack end of the table. My back hurts from it gosh darnit.

Are we confusing one KC with a different KC? Bust out the ole Blue book of cues and those old spectacles why don't ya :)

About a year and a half ago, I bought three KC "custom" cues on ebay for $33 plus $15 shipping. I sold one for $45, gave one away, and am using the third one for practice on my StrokeTrainer. It works good for that. :D

i was told that kc cues are omega cues from mike in texas at omega billiards agin i was told this from a trust worthy soruce which i believe to be true but they are an import thats for sure. i persoanly have bought the omega cues from mike and they are very good value for the money real points and inlays hard to belive the price for all that work wether done here or overseas the mcdermott cue is hard to beat in that price range
plus made in usa and lifetime gaurantee
