As said, hit with some quality cues and decide why you like certain features. Depending on how many inlays if any will determine some of the build time. Some makers have some butt parts already made and turned. You can't rush the turning process. And then it has to rest after each turn. Also ask if your cue will be cored. I would shy away from a cue made in a short time. I think six to nine months is reasonable. The absolute best value is a plane jane made by a great cue maker. And remember, there is no magic bullet. The beauty of a custom is you get everything exactly your way. Good luck!Im looking for some advice. I play with a jacoby right now. I really like it, but i want to get a complete custom cue made. I am to that point. Curious what your advice would be. I dont want it to take forever, but I also want someone good to deal with. I live here in montana so John madden is popular here. Curious what your opinion would be?
Thanks..
Terry
