Custom that hits like Joss

So, i'm going to be ordering my first custom cue, maybe next year.
I am playing with Joss right now and really love it's hit and would like my custom cue to be very much like it.

Since all the knowledge in here, i want to ask somekind of list of cue makers whose are known to have stiff hit in their cues.

Get a custom Joss

That was my first though. In fact there has been one for sale recently that I get all emotional about. It's beautiful.

The quality of "hit" is a very subjective thing, so I am not sure what answers you will get.

I might suggest a Scruggs, Szam, Mottey, or Josswest if you need something to name drop......

i'm going to give you the best advice anyone on here can give you. you're already dialed int your joss and you like the way it hits. save your cash and don't buy anything else. just stick to the cue you're already used to instad of wasting money on a cue that you want to play like the one you've already got (i hope that comes accross the way i want it to and not all jumbled).

bottom line is you want a cue to play like the cue you're playing with then just keep playing with what you've already got

Same...

^^^^^^
What this guys said, plus if you like the hit of your Joss why change it?
I have changed like 25 cues in last 4 month (not kiddin') I realize that i made the biggest mistake tryin' to find the hit I loved in another cue. Now I am crying for my first cue and can't get it back.
Keep the Joss, there are the best playing cues for the money. If you want to spend some money on something pool related try new shafts, new tips, new chalks, new tapers, but don't waste it on another full cue thinking that you'll have the same hit as your Joss. Just my 2 cents...

PS: If you want to try new cues just borrow them for 1-2h and you'll understand what we all said.

On the other hand. You might like how another cue hits better than the one you have. How do you know unless you try. I've owned and shot with many, many, many cues. I've loved the way a lot of them hit but have settled with a Hoppe conversion made by a well known cuemaker. After years of trial I kinda knew what I wanted in my cue and I have that now. And I've had a lot of fun looking. Have fun grasshopper.

Good advice

Great advice. If the rest of us were this smart and disciplined, there probably wouldn't be a need for the AZB forums.

Go ahead, get that custom cue....
...but do not give up the Joss you are playing with.
There's nothing wrong with owning more than one cue.

..a custom Joss will do the trick
..Richard Black feels his cues hit like Josses

I'm only a banger but I'm with Chop and the Player on this. Wasted good money on a custom with some wonderful wood. Back to my Schon. I also found that I like the Schon ivory shaft more than the high tech 314-2.
