Cut, bank, or "other"?

With both 4 and cue traveling so far and both having such a small landing zone, this is more likely to fail than succeed. IMO

I'm a C player, shot it cold on video, and hooked the opponent 4 out of 6 tries I believe, with 1 out of the 6 he could see the ball but would have to play a return safe.

That said, the offensive shot is still better. Same or better success rate, and you stay at the table by shooting it.

Actual cut angle of Corner vs Side shot

I added lines to CreeDo's (OP's) first post in this thread and tried my best to position the same shot in the Cuetable aiming calculator. The result is the shot in the corner is a 61 deg cut, and the shot in the side is a 71 deg cut. I certainly would prefer shooting the fuller shot:)

Accuracy of ball placement on video

As to the accuracy of the ball placement in my videos, please see the below. I took this opportunity to redo the grid lines on my table (they were already there, but had faded because I used tailors white crayon the first time). I had the balls within 1/4 ball diameter of their true center. So my videos showing how thin the cut in the side is are pretty darn accurate.

It is a very simple shot, really. Admittedly, I might find it easy coz I have shot it 262562456724 times

I might play anybody in the world, if I got to shoot from there to start every game.
