Daily Run 3 Racks + 10' Table

It took just over 70 to qualify for Stage 2 at the 2013 Derby City 14.1 Challenge. That was the only time it was contested on 10 footers.

That said, 43 is a big run on a 10 footer. Well played.

Thank you. Good to know.

I've decided that I want to compete in the 2015 or 2016 Derby City 41.1 Challenge. My goal is to be running 100+ daily on my 10' table.

Don't forget to tape it. I believe Max Eberle's 99 ball run is the highest ever recorded run on a 10-foot table.

I'm one of the sponsors of the DCC 14.1 Challenge, and I can't wait to see you take your shot in January. On the 9-footers a year ago, it took, if memory serves, 107 to qualify for single elimination.

Strange that I forgot that one, as I was there in 2013 when it took place. Actually, Pettman, a snooker player, was the only person who ran 100+ and he did it twice that year. Second best was Feijen's 91. As all runs at the Derby are taped, I must stand corrected.

Max's 99, often mentioned on the 14.1 forum, was the highest recorded run on a ten footer up to that point.

I've been busy with work and pool league just started last week so I haven't had much time to practice.

Today was a struggle and I feel as if I am in a slump. I'm having trouble getting through the 4th rack. Had an unfortunate leave trying to flower out a cluster and ended a run at 48. Today was humid, my hands were sticky and the balls were skidding on me but I managed to hit my daily run of 3 racks +.

I haven't watched any yet but those are nice #'s on a 10' table. But even more important is how they end: on a safety or a miss that leaves an open table? A 100 ball run that ends with a missed shot with balls splattered everywhere could very well be the end of a game to 150 against some opponents. Everyone loves high runs which is great. I'd love to see a video of someone shooting 20 perfectly executed lockup offensive-defensive safeties in practice. I'm fairly new to pool (5yrs only) and straight pool especially but I think there is too much emphasis on long runs only. Do you agree? There is just SO much more to this beautiful game...

Nice shooting, but boy that table is crazy fast. I've played 14.1 on tables like that (maybe even faster) and I'm not sure it gives you the opportunity to play a "normal" game of 14.1. If you have the opportunity I'd switch the cloth out to 860 or something similar.

Thank you.

I need to find out what cloth they use at the DCC 41.1 Challenge. That is the cloth I should be playing on. I'll be contacting Diamond.

I've been struggling with my game. Don't know what is going on. Maybe I'm practicing too much. I put 7 hours in on Sunday playing 14.1 the whole time.

Anyway here is a 50 ball run. I am discussed how the run ended. Not going to have any quality time to play until this Sunday. Should get a couple hours in on Saturday with hopes to get through that 4th rack.

Here is the video.

Nice run, again.
At the end...
It looks like a bit more left spin than intended.
There is no way your aim or stroke sent it that wide.
I think a little extra care with the bridge always isn't bad advice.

Are you sure you couldn't have reached over the side of the table for that one?
I will go to any length to avoid using a bridge, behind the back, cue extension, l would rather leave a longer shot sometimes.

It sucks to miss on what appears an easy layout, but misses can happen anytime.
fifty balls on your table is a good run anyday.
thx for the video

my guess would be that it is Simmonis 860, since Simmonis is a title sponsor of DCC.

Nice runs Side Pocket! What table is that you're playing on? Looks similar to Monarch and Orleans.

Not sure. Brunswick built between 1920 - 1925 plays amazing.
