Dale Perry cue for sale or trade, make offer!

Whew:boring:That was a lot of reading in what turned out to be just another dump on Dale thread. My advice is throw it on ebay and hope for the best. Apparently your not going to get any action on here with it. Good luck man.

PS - I personally like Dale's Cues to shoot pool with which is what I thought they were for.

.- I'm all for sub $ 200 high quality cues.

I've never owned a DP cues but they look really nice and well made.

For me DP is behaving way better and being way more ethical than a cuemaker selling a Sneaky Pete for $ 1000.00 just because he is a " known name".

I read once from some master player that said "for any cue over $ 100, you are paying either for ornaments that add nothing to playability or you are paying for a name" "if you are into ornaments, super exotic material or complicated inlays, you'd be better off collecting Louis XV furniture, there is a much wider market for them"

Not my opinion, just something I read

I have played with Dale's cue are they are great cues for the money. Compared to all you production cues such as Viking, Cuetec, Predator, muecci, Etc... Dale's cue are far superior. Try one out and I'm sure you'll agree. I've owned 5 or 6 of his cues along with all your top end cuemakers and his cues are perfectly fine. For <$200, these are no comparisions...MHO...

Very true statement. These cues are exceptional values for entry/league players.

As for comparisons, there is no comparison between these cues that Dale puts out now compared to his true custom cues from several years ago. Anyone who thinks these are the same cue is sadly mistaken.

My main ***** about these cues is that many people buy these "1of1" cues thinking that someone would truly sell a $1700 cue for $150....it is NOT a $1700 cue, and Dale misleads them in his Ebay ads stating "dealer cost--$1700" when he knows that is not true.

You get what you pay for, a decent $150 cue, not a $1700 cue at a +90% discount.

This whole DP saga is silly and getting really old. All the negative points people bring up about dale's cues is actually irrelevant. If anyone bithced at me for changing MY business model to better suit MY goals by offering a better value to clients I would seriously question thier intelect.

Made a bad investment? Fell on the wrong side of the supply curve? Oh well! If the oppisite were true and you made a profit because he raised his price would you call him out to return some of that money to him? And, those that liked the cue at 1500 bucks should really love it at 200. NO?

Fact: Dale makes one of the best sub $200 cues. Period.
Fact: Dale, by and large, has shown great customer service
Let's fault him and other's that sell his cues in the secondary market for it. That makes sense.

Now, the main gripe is that he undercut his dealers. I see a lot of people complaining but how many of you actually were in the business of flipping his cues? I would guess 3 of you, maybe 5. Yet you assert he has dammed the entire pool community. Moreso, I do not see those "dealers" bashing him like the rest of you do. Interesting.

Let us look at it on one last view. Let us rewind about 7 years ago to pre-ebay days. Let's say dale is sitting around thinking I got debt, I need to support my family, and I need to think about my future. Geez, health insurance for my family is $1,000 a month alone. But you know what, I really love what I do. I love making cues and I don't want to do anything else.

I think you follow me so far....

Then a consultant walks in and says, "Dale, I have studies your books. I have analyzed your business model and I found away for you to increase profits my 100%. You can now afford to pay for Health Insurance, support your family, pay off debts, and save for retirement. All you need to do is stop using exotic components, cut out the middle man, hire and train less expensive labor, produce more cues, and lower your prices dramaticlly".

"you mean I could sell great hitting cues at a lower price, put these into more hands, and be better off financially"?

Yes! But there is a catch. A few people on a internet pool forum will b#tch and complain about it.

Grow the F up people!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, I agree the cues are great for the f@@KING Money, in addition to that Dale the dick head is getting exactly what he deserves. The cues started out selling for $300 plus on eBay, now they are down to $75 TO $150, SHIT AT THIS RATE THEY WILL BE UNDER $50 BY THE END OF YEAR. I think it is actually poetic justise, soon his cues will selling for $5 more than the materials used to make them, then good old Dale will reap what he has sown!!!!!! BEND OVER DALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOT WOOD???????

Very well said Joe.

Hey Ballbreaker. Are you still trying to sell that DP cue. Wife said I could get a new cue as a 24th anniversary present. I kind of interested in the cue you're selling. My email is renolar@aol.com

THANKS.
