Dan is listed in the 3rd edition Blue Book I'm told he has stopped making cues

Described as an old style cuemaker experimenting with different materials and technology (low deflection shafts etc..)

I have 1 of his early cues and have yet to see another

I'm interested to hear any opinions of his work and any info as to if he is still maknig cues

His cues were too eccentric for my taste.
His translation of deflection was shaft stiffness.

Thanks joey for the reply

I guess there are not many who know of his work

I have 1 of the 1st cues he made and wonder what value it has or if there is any potential as a collector

I've got 10 of his shaft blanks that I've had 5 -10 yrs. now.
When they arrived, I only took one out of the package and decided right then and there that I'd never use them.
I'm not a big fan of wood stabilizer.
Any interest, drop me a PM. They'll go cheap.

1-never stand too close to Dan Goble. 2-Never ride in a car with Dan Goble 3-Never stay in a room with Dan Goble. Follow these 3 rules and you will like Dan just fine. Dan lives and plays league pool in OKC. Don't know much about his playing cues but he made jump cues with a doggone brass ferrule.? He used to play AAA baseball or some such thing and could hit the ball a country mile. Follow the rules above and your nasal cavities will thank you.

I really doubt he is still pursuing cuemaking, however I saw him the other night and could probably hook you up with a phone number if you would like. It may take a while.
