I would like to start this thread off by saying how much of a privilage it was to meet such a great human being such as Danny Deliberto was last night. He talked about the time he threw a golf ball over 100yds at a local high school football stadium for some big cash....Jay helfert knows all about this bet and i'm sure he will tell you all about it....

He put on a fantastic exhibition last night. He was very entertaining and informative for players of all levels. He pulled of the trick shot of all time. He took a silver dollar and layed it,on its end, between 2pieces of chalk on its end. He then shot it full length of the table and made it return through the chalks without hitting them! I don't know the odds but it was surely one of the most impressive shots i have ever seen.

Thanks again Danny for another glimpse of greatness at it's best....Hope to see you again and help me with some of those one-pocket shots...;)

I love the guy

I dont know if this is proper but Im going to say it. Danny is a great man with a great history. One of the last of his kind. He is on the road not just because he loves it and is promoting his book. But he is doing it to support his family. Pool does not give back to what great players did for the game. Only the fans can do that. He had to leave his daughter who misses him very much to try and pay for the bills that incur because his daughter is also very ill. Any help you can give him Im sure he would appreciate. Buy a book from him. Take a lesson. It would be worth your while.

Danny D's book

Anyone have a link to where you can get the book from? I bet he has some great stories to tell.

Not sure..but he said he was headed to Sotuh Carolina to finish up another book called 9 to 5 yuck...it will be his best book thusfar. He told me that it will give you details on how he made it in the gamblers world without holding a 9 to 5 job...
This guy has more gifts in his arscenal than just billiards. I can promise you that...

Thanks Yobagua, I ordered Danny D's book, your post was an inspiration ;o) Peace.
