Danny DiLiberto And Racking

The advanced move is to push the two balls behind the back ball gently so there's a "chain reaction" that alters the two balls behind the one ball. This manipulates one of the two corner balls "DEAD".....it may take a couple times to get it just right, but then it's brutal.

By the way, I don't use this, but I do teach 5 different ways to look for cheating on the rack......and if a player uses them to his benefit, it's on him, I do believe in "Karma".

There's some really devastating ones using the magic rack, especially playing 10 Ball...you still have to break well, but it basically wires 3 of the 10 balls every time.

Are you talking about 9 ball?

I was talking about the last row of balls when playing one pocket. If you do not freeze the balls....it always breaks out to give your opponent a shot at his pocket instead of heading towards the short rail.

Oh, and Happy Birthday and thank you for the viewing of tips on your web site.

Thanks, I appreciate that, I'm officially half of SJD's age,

Thanks, I appreciate that, I'm officially half of SJD's age, and yes, I was talking about 9 Ball. Maybe the way to stop the cheating is to expose exactly how the rack is altered to "wire" balls on the break. I have showed this to students in private, but have yet to publicly describe in detail how it's done.

I'll have to give this some thought because it will cause some controversy among my peers. Racking the 9 Ball on the spot changes everything, so maybe that's a short term solution, although I still think there should be neutral rackers at ALL PRO EVENTS.

I agree on neutral rackers....the game should grow up.

Joe Tuckers "Racking Secrets"is pretty powerful information.

Danny was the house pro at the joint I worked at as a kid. Lots of stories and knowledge. He is the best.

I never said I didn't like Danny in the booth. He gives up a ton of info if you listen carefully and his stories and dry sense of humor are cool. The only thing I can't stand are the "no need to have all the balls touching"...he should know better IMO. Johnnyt
