OK, so, I was just listening to RUNOUT RADIO and Mr. Darren Appleton said he was moving his home base to Allentown PA.! What does that mean? Well to me it means he is living all of 20 minutes away from me!

The other thing it means is I am hoping Darren is looking for a Practice partner in the area to keep him in world class shape, and a person who can steer him around the north east for a few "adventures!"! I have a good 9foot table here at home that we can battle on, and up the street is an old world "British" pub that has 200 beers and an AWSOME fish n chips!

Darren.....The pool world in the Allentown/Northeast area is STRONG! Glad to hear you are moving up here man!

Here is my home number.......call me and we can make sure you stay in stroke!

Darren, just so you know, since you probably don't sit on this forum like some of us and know who all of the players are....... Gerry is a competent player based upon what I have read about him and a solid poster on AZB.

Wow....Beer, fish and chips and nine footers:smile: I might move there myself.

I like Darren's demeanor and his game, that would be cool to play him now and then.
 
well im from 20 minutes north of allentown pa. Im pretty sure that the girl that he is dating lives there. that may have a little somthing to do with it. lol:smile:
 
I think pool is his first love and he needs to get a little closer to the Joss Tour and NYC. Ill bet 50 he moves closer to NYC within 6 months provided he stays in the States.

Make sure you ask him for a $100 snap the first time you meet him. That will give him the full American experience of being a pool player in the US !!
 
Im sure he'll make the tourneys in the MD/VA/NY area on a regular basis. Good to know there is fresh champion meat around. Tried of beating up on Sigel and Wilke all the time :rolleyes:

Darren Appleton was seen playing Mika at Amsterdam this past Thursday. Thorsten and Tony Robles were also around that night. Maybe he already changed his mind.

Very cool. The area just outside of Philly is #1 on my short list of potential future locations to move the family. Easy access to SBE is a big draw. Jobs is another.

AND.....there bis a BIG pool community here. Many of the action rooms closed, but within an hour or so, there are plenty of places to get action if you are looking.

I bet Darren finds Drexeline billiards before long......or Fuscos room near Philly.

Maybe this is just what we need around here.....a cool Pro player making the rounds. I have already spoken to a few friends about hitting the action spots again.

And there has certainly been a pro or 2 that has benefited from the Fusco's advice, but Darren might be doing the teaching!
 
Im sure the Predator and Planet Pool Tour Stops will be high on his income chart. Not to mention most of the bigger events are above NC. So everything is under a 6 hour drive. Not too bad if gas and lodging only runs you 200-300 and you win a little over a thousand. I think its a great spot to locate to. Especially for a champion like Darren. NYC is too expensive to live in and like most said early you got Fusco's... all the halls in NYC... Planet Pool stops... I would really like to see Darren at these events in the near future :D
 
Slow, hmmmm20 minuits north of A-Town. That puts you in my neck of the woods. Shamokin is only an hour or so from A-town. Good to see him move here.
