Another update from Darren on Facebook, and some hints at the future for him:

Thanks for support this past month not going to lie it’s been Rough lol.
45 mins heart stopped will do it I guess lol
Finally back home but with advice from doctors and family and common sense it means I will not be traveling for a while
Means I will miss some big events

This time period will give me time to get healthy… I’ve stopped stopped smoking and I will be eating good and slowly getting back into fitness

Good result, at this stage this means his Doctor's have told him that if he sticks to the plan he should make a full recovery.
Which means we'll hopefully see him back to playing again, but looks like well after June (he says now and April), June is my guess only based on some family I knew that had to recover. This is my opinion again, not a medical fact - you can all draw your own conclusions till new evidence comes to light and he gives more updates as his recovery progresses.

My guess from his words, he'll be back in cue, and probably start working out like Toasty and make his final move.

All champions in all sports with his demeanor are pure fighters.

Do you know if he is back home yet? Have the cobwebs more or less cleared up or is that still a work in progress? Etc?

What a coincidence, he just posted this update:

Feel I owe it to you all to keep you updated now and again for all the love and support you have showed me ❤️
I’m doing pretty good considering. Still pretty weak and since my Cardiac arrest.. You find out for more things. Because I’ve no memory a good week before the event and 3 weeks after it happened so that month I’ll probably never get back.. not that I’m complaining I’m very lucky to be alive I was giving around 10% chance to survive and even when I was in ICU my heart stopped again 4 times .My main artery in my heart was blocked the NHS did a miracle on me and tmrw I get to meet the team that saved me 3 woman and 2 men so looking forward to that and god knows how I will feel when see them obviously will be emotional and very thankful 45mins to 1 hour it took them to get me back incredible they kept going that long.
I’ve been home around 3 weeks now taking it day by day and getting a little better each day.. lots of appointments lots of tests and will go see heart specialist next week. And I will also start physical therapy.. I need to build myself back up slowly as I’ve lost about 25lb and pretty much all my muscle so it’s going to be a process.
Big thanks to my family and friends for taking care of me ❤️ couldn’t ask for better family and friends.
I’m hoping march I can start hitting some balls again and start driving and April hopefully I can fly again 🙏 but for now I’m just happy to be home.
Got some good things happening behind the scenes also will be revealed soon..
Enjoyed watching worlds this week obviously rather be there.. Good luck to everyone left in and hope to see you all around April.My aim is super billiards expo in Philadelphia and I will have my own booth 😊🙏

Thanks for following up here when you saw him post this update. Sounds like he is progressing fairly well considering. Glad to hear.

Thanks, Doggin' It. It was really good to see Darren and to hear what he has been through, where he is in recovery, and how he is looking at the world now. Hard to believe he's hoping to play in the pro event at the Super Billiards Expo in 2 months.

"Update on my progress: First of all I got to meet the team from NHS that saved me pretty surreal moment and experience ❤️
Heart specialist said I will need a defibrillator fitted for the rest of my life,This will be done within the next month. Other than that good news I can start to do normal things so from march I will be back practicing 😊 Can start driving again do some fitness and even fly ✈️ 😀.

I will be at the Super Billairds expo in Philadelphia in April.Guess this will be my comeback tournament and I will have my own Booth Dynamite billiards will be launched very soon 😊

Thanks for all the wonderful messages and support it’s overwhelming but very much appreciated and helped me alot reading them all ❤️

Thanks to my amazing family and friends that helping me get to this point so lucky to have them in my life ❤️
