Darren Appleton's opinion

I would normally just ask Darren this myself, but I'm not friends with him on Facebook. I would be very curious to know who he believes to be the 2nd best American rotation pool player behind SVB. We in the states all have our own personal opinions. I personally would vote for Justin Bergman, but once again, I would be curious to know who Darren thinks is the US number 2.

If anybody has spoken with Darren about this or any other top tier European player, I would be curious to know.

Why specifically Darren's opinion? What if he said CJ Wiley? Why aren't you curious who Billy Thorpe thinks is #2?

I'm not Darren, but heres the top 100 U.S players.

I think the ranking is fairly accurate. Archer is a good bit off his prime. Rodney isn't too far from Bergman. Dechaine isn't playing at the moment.

9b/10b on a big table I have..

SVB
Bergman
Rodney

I think you would get an answer that would give you quite a few players who might be in contention

nobody you have never heard of, ya know?

Theres a young fella out there that just might shoot all their livers in, even Darrens...

I think I have heard that young fella speak before. It was right after his opponent made a jump shot. He said, "You think that was a good shot? Well do ya? You do! .. I can tell by that shit eating grin on you face. Well, you didn't do shit! You don't even know how to play this game. I'll shoot your liver out and hand it to you! Now get the **** off the table."

He's a feisty young fella.

Does he wear earmuffs, assweights, and shoot with a 8ft javelin....?

Bergman and Dechaine were surely 2A and 2B but Mike's in semi-retirement at the moment so I don't see how it could be anyone but Justin Bergman.

Of course, Billy Thorpe's star continues to rise, so this could change, but right now, I'd choose Bergman in a long race against Billy. I think their skill sets are similar, but as Billy has a far better break than Justin, I think Billy will be the better 9/10 ball player down the road.

As billiardthought stated,

Why Darren Appleton's opinion?

I can't remember exactly how he worded it, nor do I have a Facebook to check, but he once said something among the lines of "everyone should be using a soft tip unless they possess a monster stroke."

I'm no world champ but still, I'll forever skepticize his opinions regardless of the topic.
