So who gets what of the 10k? It really doesn't say if it's winner take all or some other way of splitting it up. Johnnyt

It's $10K in the middle

Earl and Darren each put up $5K so the winner really only gets $5K for their victory.

I wish the flyers would say $10K in the middle rather than misleading people to think the winner is actually getting $10K.

$5K of that is the guys own money.

You could think of it this way. After you post that 5k, it is no longer your money, and you have to win in order to get that money back (plus an extra 5k). So, in a way, you are playing for 10k, right? If you lose that match, then you just lost 10k that would have been yours if you would have won.

Just more PPV BS to attract an audience.

Isn't this considered a 2 man tournament for legal reasons?

I have never subtracted my entry fee when asked how much I won in a tournament. For example if I paid $20 to enter a tournament and first place pays $500. If I win and get asked how much the tournament paid I'm not going to say $480.

This is nothing like the John French situation.

I COULD NOT AGREE MORE.
it's such a shame that some people are just looking for ways to critisize everything that some work very hard to put together.
Gambling is illegal in some places so you have to work around the law sometimes.
Why try ti pick it apart & find every little flaw, no one is taking anything from you.
In fact they are putting up there own money to put these things together & it hopefully works out for everyone, backers, players & fans.

If you expect a plethora of wisdom to come out of his mouth, I guess you never heard any of his commentary. When he did it for free, they were paying him what he was worth.

This has been the worst stream for me. I have had other streams from Al but this one stops for 10 seconds then starts then stops. Very robotic. $30.00 down the hole. They want to blame it on my end. When I streamed the U.S. open from Accu Stats I had no problems. I am staying away until it gets fixed.

If I give you five thousand dollars and you give it back after I beat you in a match, do I win five thousand dollars? If each player puts in five thousand, winner take all. You win five thousand, not ten thousand. Simple math!!

Twenty dollars is a far cry from five thousand.

15 years ago, before any streaming...

When you were in the pool room and 2 guys were gambling, what did these 3 statements mean?

1. They are playing 100$ one pocket. = each player is putting up 100 a game.
2. They are playing a 500$ set = each player is putting up 500 for the set.
3. They are playing races to 11 for 1k = each player is putting up 1k per set.

Prior to streaming, I had never heard a "total in the middle" number.

Daz and Earl for playing for 5k, period.

Its silly IMO.
