Does anyone know why they have cleared all the previous dates and locations from the website?

Are they looking to travel more or did they have some type of problem with Orlando?

I was just about to post something about that.

I heard they may be moving the event that was originally scheduled in January in Florida to Vegas or something.

If anyone knows please post it A.S.A.P. I would like to make plans to attend the next event.

Thanks,

Mj

If the Convention Center gouged the IPT like they did the people who bought food and drinks then I can understand why they are looking for another place.
I don't think anybody ordered food twice. It just was terrible. A beef sandwich that was stale, a bun and a few slices of beef, for $7.95. And a can of pop out of the vending machine cost $2.75. Scotch and water $7.00.

It's okay to charge high prices but give the people decent food. Not something that I won't feed to my dog.

The IPT had no control over food and drinks.

But I think the people in Vegas are more willing to work with event coordinators than people in Florida. And perhaps they can get better coverage by the news media there.

I can say that i heard the next date was changing because of super bowl weekend...don't know how true that is, but it was going to be the same weekend...Joe

Was this some kind of surprise? My sister-in-law does seminars and conventions and she knows down to the last detail what is at the venue. It was their responsibility if they cared about such things to know in advance. I suspect the finger pointing will start if there was short comings at the tournament. My guess is they didn't provide enough people to get proper kick backs from the hotels to make it worth while. Vegas pays much better and most fly in, few are local, far more money for the promoter. Orlando, if they had done their homework is one of the worst places to do a convention, many don't return after the first one. The BCA did one and learned their lesson. Vegas will be much better and they can probably have their pick of venues.

Kevin said when several of us were standing around and talking, and from what I understood, it will still be held in Florida but the dates are being changed due to super bowl weekend. As soon as the dates are firm he will have his staff let us know.

Are you sure? I don't think anyone but Kevin Trudeau would attempt to sell organic hot dogs and natural soda to pool players and fans... It seems he also knew that Budweiser beer is the one beer that people will choose not to drink rather than to drink beer - it was the only choice the first two days!

I heard that they were moving the January tournament to Las Vegas. I did not hear that from Kevin's own mouth, though, but heard it from someone who heard it from someone. :)

I know i did not go to the convention center for the food or drinks. If I wanted that i have my own fridge at home.I went to see pool.
Steve Mizerack told us the final day that the venue was being changed to Vegas. He did not say why but I would think he got the scoop.Right now Im not sure if anyone except KT, knows for sure where its going to take place.I hope its Orlando again. Its only a 3 hour drive for us and they have all the parks there that you can go to plus a ton of great restaurants.

I posted this elsewhere:

Due to the increased interest aroused by the MS/LJJ match, there have been better offers for venues, but the dates will have to change from Super Bowl weekend too. Looks like Feb. Hope they don't conflict with the last 2 weekends in Feb. with established dates of other big tourneys. Mike Massey told me he has a gig on Feb. 10-11 and is hoping it doesn't conflict.
