David G and Chris are about to start play at Diamonds Billiards in Dallas for 10 dimes in a 10 ahead set.

Ironman is on site but has no internet access so he will be calling me with periodic updates.

Hopefully, we can get someone on site with a wireless hookup.

The match is suppose to start about 1:00 pm CST. I will keep everyone posted as the reports come in.

The players are waiting for Billy I. to get there. I'm sure Billy will want a piece of the action.

Play is starting right now. After negotiations, the bet is 12 dimes and change with the match now being 11 ahead.

David wanted 10 ahead and Chris, 12 ahead, so they settled on 11 ahead.

One hour in, David is 5 games down but Chris made 3 balls on the break and scratched. David should get out.

funny that this isnt getting the replies i was expecting...........

either way I am thankful for the coverage....

Run 'em out Chris!!!!

lol, actually i was going to say i wouldnt be shocked at all in chris snaps it off inside 3 hours.

Thanks for the updates. Wonder if they made a stipulation how long they are gonna play if it turns into a grind. Bartrum likes to go long.

David G. will win

:D After David snaps the set off please tell him don't forget his buddy in Thibodaux, lol.. :D :p :D

this is B.S!!!
I am supposed to be there. I am only twenty minutes away and my babysitter backed out at the last minute. She wont be working for us anymore! I hope that this lasts a long time so that I can still catch some of it later tonight.

Updates please!

Well, it's over. Chris B. took it down in 3 hours. It was told me that he missed one ball he could see on a miscue, otherwise, he played flawless.

Congrats to Chris.

good win for a good guy, I have seen him drop his share of cash in Detroit, he never complains, never woofs that I have seen, just pays up and goes and sets down, great guy to gamble with. Never a bad word.

I cant believe I missed it.

That is some mighty fine shooting. If he really did move to Dallas I think we have a new sheriff in town.

wow i scare myself sometimes:D

I was there from the start and Chris truly did play flawless. The miscue occured on a draw shot and the cue ball flew off the table. Besides that, I only counted 3 mistakes including one missed ball, and two safeties where David could see the ball.

Shortstops???

...This should be tightly contested becuase they both are shortstops.

I don't know David's game but I don't consider Chris' game shortstop speed...I mean, he plays and wins all over the country. His game has really elevated in just the past year or two...does he not play pro speed:confused:

Chris is a great guy to gamble with. He plays the game the right way, no BS just post and play. No drama and he doesn't have to have the mortal nuts to get in the box.

Congrats to Chris for a well played set.
