Day 2 Mosconi Matches in Progress Coverage

Bergman breaks wet but is not up to caroming in the seven off the two ball, leaving Niels a missable, but fairly routine 2-9 combo, pocketed by Niels.

We're tied at 1.
 
Neils breaks dry as the US continues to outbreak Europe. Bergman with a good starting shot of the one in the side. He walks around the table as he normally does. Looks at the angle off the one to see if there is a scratch. Makes the one and then scratches off the 2 into the corner.
 
We reallllly need this match to keep it close....4-5 would seem a lot different than 3-6 losing steam.
 
I wonder if Justin isn't a little over psyched up right now…..he's really made some decisions/shots that don't seem like him at all….
 
Niels breaks dry, Justin scratches early in the rack, Niels runs out the rack. 2-1 Niels F.
 
Feijen breaks dry and leaves Bergman a shot. Bergman makes the one but scratches. Ouch! Niels runs them and now leads 2-1.

Opportunity missed for Bergman in this rack.
 
This table is still a joke. No need for Neils to carom the 4 off the 8 but the table is so easy and made the run out so much easier, he doesn't even hesitate with it.
 
That is Justins dad in the orange shirt right behind Wilson and the team, btw.... and his sister next to him.

Bergman makes three balls on the break and barely breaks a sweat in running out.

We are tied at 2-2.
 
Niels breaks wet but the three is no bargain. the tough shot will be from the four to the five, but Niels is up to it. still some work left, though, as the six is sitting funny. niels scratches in the side as he pockets the five, a little unlucky but also careless. Bergman runs out and leads 3-2.

Bergman looks incredibly comfortable, even with all the crowd stuff going on. Very impressed with how he has handled everything.
 
Ironically, the "old pros" have shakes in their stroke arms, yet the "rookies" are shooting like they know they can't be beat. Amazing.
 
anyone who thought this group of individuals we sent could beat a TEAM as good as europe all I have to say is HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA . Not a prayer
