Allison plays great 9ball and her Snooker background for playing patterns will help a lot. Best of luck to all of them. Sam

Yes, and not forgetting her big match experience - more than all the men. I'm a guy living in the USA but I'm really routing for Alison. It's great for the sport, and great for the women's game.

I think it will help with female viewership down the road as well. I know my wife will be more interested because she knows the women players from TV and Valley Forge. Especially if they're winning...

I was one of the posters on the "skeptic" column about Allison's chances vs. top players. But her victory over Feijen puts everything in a new light, and I will no longer be surprised if she knocks a few more.

I'm likely a litte bit of a purist in that I'm mostly concerned with the game itself rather than the personalities involved. But even I am not immune to the excitment which pitting young and old; women and men against each other provides.

If only I could actually see the matches... :(

Allison Fisher vs Niels Feijen 8-6
I have to admit, allison beating hopkins wasn't a huge surprise to me. However, her beating Feijen does definitely say something about her ability. The real test for her is tonight when she faces Bustamante in round 5. Can't wait to find out the result of that match.

Gosh, the excitement of this tournament is unprecedented! :D

Wait until Kelly Fisher gets going in January. Out of all the players who tried the shot to get in the tournament Kelly was the second closest to making it the right way, she missed being in the invitational by 1.5 inches.

So far, everything looks great. The players are totally excited about it.

1.5 inches can make a big difference ;)

So, there was a qualifying event? But it is an "Invitational".

Scores ...

We should be able to scores on more players .... by now.

I want to know how Gabe is doing.

Alex Lely let us know that he is very enthousiastic.

All tables have camara's and everything will be put on DVD. Every player is wearing a mic and thay can have a corner man like in boxing. Alex Lely is sitting with Nick van den Berg, supporting him as much as possible.

In the players area there are computers, massages, food, drinks, telephone lines and sponsor support.

Also the IPT will go in 2007 to much more continents!!

Greatings from Alex Lely

Yeah, the IPT web master had plenty of time to organize the site and prepare for this, forget live updates, how about any updates at all?

Good thing we have this forum:)

Am I missing something again.

They should have named replacement players last night. I have not heard, has anyone else? There were a few evidently.

Go Allison

My previous thoughts on Fisher and where she would place this year in the IPT may have me eating crow:D

Congratulations to her.

I may be in deep trouble on my Fisher vs Corr bet I made for the 2006 season. I still like my Edey/Montal vs Fisher/Corr bet though.

GLI is games lost index...basically how many games you gave up before you got the win. That is a way to rank players in a round robin.

Shorty
