Hello AZ
After prompting by DMGWALSH and Blackjack I am getitng off my tush and finishing the DVD's for the straight pool challenge from earlier this year 2009. The DVDs will be made available shortly, Blackjack has offered to do the commentary on the various runs.
----------------------------------------------------------
Since I never saw what I would call complete press release for the event I thought I would try to fill in the details.
Bob Jewett added $10,000 again the straight pool challenge at the Derby City Classic this year 2009. Diamond / Greg Sullivan supplied 2 tight Diamond 9' tables with Blue Simonis and Aramith Pro balls in a private room at the Horseshoe Casino in Southern Indiana near Louisville, KY.
Bob Jewett, Dennis Walsh (dmgwalsh) Bill Maropilos (marop) scored the runs. The format of the event was daily prizes for the 3 highest runs of the day $300,$200,$100. The high run of the event got an addition $1000.
The 8 players with the highest runs would play each other in 4 matches record by Accu Stats on the main TV table. The semi finals were played back in the private room. The final championship match was played back on the TV table and recorded by Accu Stats.
I had a camera setup on innermost table in the 14.1 challenge room for the entire event. There was also a camera setup for some period on the second table and most of those runs were recorded as well but not all.
I will post out the details I have summarized the data for the event. To all players please forgive any and all mispellings of names.
