DCC 1P challenge... 1 Rack w/Alex P.

Whoah, too bad they had to stop the stream.

Does anyone if Alex made the last ball too? (I'm assuming he made the easy ball there.)

That was great to watch, except for the end. Does anybody know what happened with the last two balls?

I was sitting just off to the left of the other table when Alex was running that rack. IIRC he made #14 and missed the bank for 15. Right before that rack we were setting up and trying different ways to break. Most people were using "Cliffs break" which is just off the center spot medium speed to center of the table. It's easy to hit, but you get blocked out many times.

I'm not sure why EVERYONE isn't using Coreys break?......it is the most productive by far, but not easy to execute.

Corey and Alex were coaching eachother during their attempts, which is ok to do according to Jay. At one point Corey had 3-15's in 7 racks with a 12 to boot. He is an exceptional player to watch running balls.

All of you should jump at the chance to hang with these guys when it's in a setting like that. They were trying VERY hard to win that challenge yet it was like being at your local pool room with your friends.

This is the most low key and maybe the most fun event for the players at DCC. Only the very best players will attempt the One Pocket Challenge. It's just too tough for anyone else. Beau Runningen, Gabe Owen, Corey, Darren, John Schmidt, Max Eberle, Rafael, Cliff, Dennis Orcollo and a few others also made attempts during the three days. A 50 is still a great score and we only had five of them total. Only a very good player will ever shoot a 40 at this game. But after watching Schmitty, Alex and Mika play, I realize that Gabe's 60 is not safe! I'll leave this bonus up there until someone does it.
