The Derby City Classic 14.1 Challenge is going to be pretty much like 2008 with a few changes. The play-offs of the top eight qualifiers will be to 100 points with an extension for a high run in progress. Pat Fleming is offering a bonus for high runs on the TV table of $500 for 100 balls and $1000 for 150 balls, provided that the shooter provides commentary later. There is a separate bonus of $1000 for the first run of 200 during the competition.

Prelims will be on two tables starting on Sunday and going through Wednesday. Entry is $100 for 12 attempts at a high run. Each player may enter only once. Finals will be on Thursday and Friday, with a schedule that fits between the other events.

Hi. will it be possible to watch DCC live streaming?
Accu-stats current plan is to have a live stream from the TV table. I don't know whether TAR is planning something in addition.

But there will be no live-stream from the straight pool tables? (or one-pocket challenge?)

None is planned so far as I know. The plan is to do videos of the 14.1 like last year and eventually get the best runs on-line.

That is more than good enough for me!

I have a feeling that someone will run 200+ this time!!! Mika Immonen or Niels Feijen. You heard it here first ;)

or maybe that Schmidt kid.:grin-square:

200 on that equipment will be a feat! Whoever does it will have earned that $2k bonus.

Thanks again, Bob, for keeping 14.1 in the minds of the players.

Agree, it would be a feat standing far above a $2k bonus.
