I recognized Samuel "Sparky" Ferrell with Liljon on page 3 in my post on the first page of the thread, and you're right. I was the only one! It was a side-view of his head, and he was wearing a baseball cap, which made it a little mroe difficult to see that it was him! :p

Here is one more small group...JAM, you'll probably get these.

Teddy the Greek, Ronnie Wiseman on the cell phone, and Claude. Of course, everyone else got it before me. I'm just waking up now! Sometimes the early bird doesn't get the worm! :D

How about the junior players standing next to Shane VB sweating Lil John...

The only ones I recognize are Landon and the magic squirrel guy in the background. I don't know the other kid.

Thanks to all who chipped in player names...

It looks to me that JAM came up with the most player names, none of which were contradicted by later posters. However, I did post this on OnePocket.org too and "BackPocket9Ball" provided a very impressive list -- I'll have to take a closer look, or send out two books!

SWEET! Nothing better than winning, I say; that is, I did win. :o

I think whoever got the names on the earliest date and time should be the tie-breaker! :D

I think I may own this Danny DiLiberto item. So please do give it to the second-place finisher, just in case I did win!

BTW, your great contest reminded me of an Easter quiz I did a few years ago, Name That Player.

Today, I looked at it, and there are definitely two factual mistakes in the captions.

So, instead of naming the players in this link, who can find the two factually incorrect captions? :o

I was guessing about caption 25. I thought Robb was from NY, not New England... I could be wrong.

Brandon is from Detroit, MI so I know 17 is incorrect. He also changed his playing cue sometime before the US Open. ;)

I had thought he was from Rhode Island, but New York is like New England to me. It's all up there in Yankee Country! :p

Definitely Brandon is from Detroit and not from the Buckeye State! The "Willie" I was referring to, though, wasn't his cue. I was thinking there was a very nice robust fellow who wears long T-shirts, who backs Brandon from time to time. His name is "Willie." :D

AND there's still two captions that are wrong! :o

Number #3? John Schmidt "pride of New Orleans"

Actually, you are right, JG-in-KY, with No. 3 being wrong, and Timberly is right too with 17 and 25. Robb Saez is now a Floridian, and Brandon Ashcraft is definitely from Detroit. :o

So now I have 5 factually incorrect captions on that quiz, which was originally done 2 years ago.

The other two faux pas are these.

No. 18, Jimmy Fusco is one of the legendary COUSINS from Philly, not brothers.

No. 7, I learned from a "source" in the media, who spoke with Pat Fleming to verify, that Wade Crane was not the FIRST player to get a perfect Accu-Stats score on record, though he did get several perfect scores during his pool-playing career!

JAM

My understanding was that Wade shot the first perfect score in the finals of a tournament. I think against Buddy Hall in Atlantic city (Last Call for Nineball?).
