DCC - What AZ'ers are going?

Oh, you HAVE to make it if I go. I am going mainly to meet you and Williebetmore ;)

If I can't play you some one-pocket in the AZ Room I am starting to believe that you are acting like Jay Helfert, and running away when there is action coming up ;)

I will be there in case Joey doesn't make it. He & I broke even in Gulfport (I quit when he started playing too good). Joey, I hope you make it, but if you don't I will try and make sure Roy has an eventful trip. John

If you broke even I assume we will have to play with the same handicap I mentioned in post #9? Open for negotiations, though, since you quit when he started to play good.

Roy, we had played for several hours when we agreed to quit. I am 69 years old and Joey was respectful of my age. I had played someone else before him and was out of gas.

Like Jay said on onepocket.org, Spot went home. You will have to start out even. Who knows? I might end up needing weight.

I will however post up some $$ if it makes you more comfortable.

Looking forward to meeting you whether we play or not. John

It sounds like we are gonna have some fun. The first beer is on me

Hopefully I will learn a lot of one-pocket after watching and playing you and the others at onepocket.org for a week :)

I'll be there. And by the way, I'm thinking of driving down instead of flying to save dough. I'm leaving from the NYC area. If anyone else is coming from NYC and interested in making the trek, I estimate it will be somewhere between $60 and $80 for gas each way, per person. 11 hour drive.

I'll be there my usual Thursday thru Sunday morn the last weekend and Roy don't I remember you bragging about playing Efren one pocket for weeks at a time even for big money ?--Leonard

Mark Griffin will be in the house

Yep-Mark Griffin will be there for the entire duration. Hope to be able to meet some of the names I see on AZ. I don't post that often but I read a lot of posts.

Hope to see everyone there. You will be able to find me in the TAR pit or at the control counter.

I will be there for the first weekend and monday. I am looking forward to it. Is there an AZ room this year? I missed the thread for it if there is.

Roy,
John is a playing machine. He can play ten hours straight and is subject to never miss a single ball. Don't you believe a thing about him being 69 years old. I personally think he is probably more like 47 or 48 tops. He actually wore me out and I escaped when he opened the door.

John will bet it up so don't be shy. (He wouldn't give me any weight either).

I have played Efren, yes, for many hours, and won some sets, but never won a session against him. It has always been for small money...

Now I am starting to be afraid of playing these seasoned one-pocket players...

I guess I will be looking for some friendly banks with Jay instead, and hope that he run away before we start so I don't have to play that either :D

Maybe I should just leave my cues at home? Perhaps the best way to save some money :grin-square:

I haven't been on here much, so I'm curious about an AZ room too. But I'll be there for at least the Banks, and may stay for the One Pocket, if I have someone to room with.

This is a very treacherous way to make sure I don't lose any $$ to anyone but you.

You had me on the ropes for $200 a game and I cleverly escaped, making you feel sorry for taking advantage of a senior citizen.

You know I like to spread the wealth around and I don't mind sending Roy home with a little of my $$. John

 John Hendy has been one of my favorite pool players for well over 20 years, he will get up and play not knowing if he has best of it and bet too!! He isnt a champion but has monster heart and my highest respect. And I want to play John this year too I never have-I got way the worst of it(Gods honest truth). But I will play him, he will have to make up some $$ from playing Roy:wink: .
