Nice table and room! On my next go round, I will watch hidden charges!!! Some table mechanics can have big egos and be complete A**!!!!!'S. I love my table and how it plays but I sure PAID for it... A HEFTY SUM! I'm not complaining... Just Sayin! Cheers...

WOW, sorry you feel I have such a big ego....and I'm a complete asshole....
I had no hidden charges what so ever.....we both new the job price before I ever did any work for you.....plus on top of all the free work I did to your table on my time....the Brunswick tour stickers.....completely refinishing the table.....2 trips to Athens...hour and a half each way....a 4 hour trip to your house....with Artemis cushions....rail extensions....rails calibrated....casting and feet redone...simonis 860 cloth.....set-up the table....2250 is a HUFFY PRICE....SORRY YOU FEEL THAT WAY....I put a lot of work and time in that table....and I truly feel that I have given you a pretty good deal for the job you received.

Small world, both sides of my family have roots in Freeland, PA.

I live approx five minute ride from Big Boulder. A town called Albrightsville in Carbon County. How far apart do we live from each other?

If you are happy with the work done and how it plays it's a "DEAL". I don't mind paying The Price (or a Premium) for custom work or any service if it turns out right. We had thousands of dollars of work done in our house (custom cabinets) and we have to trash them and do it over with a different contractor. No suing, No refunds. I have to eat it and start over...and pay again. I would hate to have that happen with a pool table make over. Doing it right the first time is everything. If a service person does a bad job the 1st time...he will do the same job the 2nd time. I would not want them back again.
I'll bet your table is a nice one. How about some pics.

Question is, did you get what you paid for?

Glad all worked out for you GoldCrown since you said that the thread I posted of the gold crown I that I purchased from him was one of the reasons you gave him call.

Table looks great and Bob does great work, you made a good choice.

Cheers!

Thank you for taking the time to post that thread. Real time customer reviews help us make our decisions. Your table is a show piece.
Bob is a rare find. He has the talent and passion. He was born for this. I hope it pays off real big for him someday. He deserves it.

Sorry if what I posted before was mis-leading! My grammar is not the best. This was not In Anyway directed towards Mark Gregory... Which I should have clarified (My Fault). This was directed to the mechanic/dealer that I purchased my table from initially before it got into Mark's hands! Hopefully everyone has seen the nice posts that I have left about Mark and also see that I gave him extreme cudos for taking on my job! Mark helped and steered me in the right direction and did a lot of extra work for me to make up for what this first party guy sold me! Mark SAVED ME... My table plays awesome!!! Cheers, Davie

This makes sense now. I remember your table and how good it looked. Glad you cleared that up. Good post.

I am extremely happy with my table after Mark Gregory got hold of it. Mark took on a headache with this table/project that I purchased from another mechanic/retailer. In the beginning the table was in bad shape and Mark made it look and play PERFECT! Thanks Again Mark!!!:o

Mark, This was not intended towards you... You took care of me completely! Sorry this was mis-leading... I meant before your work was done to the table! You Rock!

I'm happy to hear this is the case. I keep hearing Mark's name repeatedly...he is a well respected Table Service person.

I went through the same thing. The retailer/installer did an amateur job. The price was good but the workmanship was substandard.
Bob straightened everything out. If I had known about Bob D. in the beginning I would have had him set it up or I would have bought a reconditioned table from him.
