RKC, he had messaged me about a new Diamond and I quoted him the factory price. Not sure why anyone would come on a DIAMOND sponsored public forum and ask some else to post CONFIDENTIAL DIAMOND DEALER PRICING??!!!Why, you expecting to buy a Diamond at dealer cost?

Dealers are not supposed to sell new tables for more than MSRP or for less than FACTORY pricing.
Its kind of funny how people think for some reason they should be able to buy things for dealer wholesale prices... Not to mention the elusive "tournament table" for thousands less than new.HHAHAHAHAHA
No different than someone looking to buy Simonis cloth at the cheapest possible price point here on AZ....and WHO sells it the cheapest.
Or maybe a dealer told him a price was at or below cost, and he wants to verify that.
What's the difference between dishonest and shady?
Why do we drive on the parkway and park on the driveway?
Want a great deal on a diamond? Keep waiting and looking, you might save a decent chunk and shit, somebody has to have paid the least. Course you hoping is almost definitely gonna cost a lotta time...and you might never get a table.
If you are a dealer for any company, you agree to terms. If you sell below the minimum price set by that company, you are dishonest and shady.
Nothing wrong with trying to get a good deal. Dealers are supposed to adhere to the pricing set by the company's, pretty simple concept. The area between Retail pricing and minimum pricing is fair game. I have the dealer pricing and would not share it with anyone because it is dishonest and shady to do so. End of story
All retailers work on roughly a 50% margin. Take 50% off the retail price and you will find the dealer or store price on just about anything, cars, furniture, etc. It really is that simple.

Interesting topic for sure! I didn't mean to step on any toes with my statement, was just responding to the OP question.
Take the MSRP of anything and subtract 50% to get dealer (store) cost, subtract another 40% from that and you arrive at the wholesale cost, furthermore subtract another 50% from that and you will finally get the manufacturing cost.
I completely agree that this doesn't apply to all industries, especially those with a manufacturer direct arrangement, this has only been my experience working in the wholesale distribution industry, feel free to disagree:thumbup:
what is wrong with wanting to find dealer cost. this way you have a base price to judge how much you may be able to get off of the msrp.
for most things expensive, only a fool pays msrp. as there is always someone someplace that will work with you.
do you know anyone stupid enough to pay sticker price for a new car or boat.
Because DEALERS get dealer cost and it is NONE of the consumers business....
I WISH IT WAS 50% markup! Just so ya know MSRP and Factory pricing/ minimum are the guidelines set forth by Diamond and people that you reference " someone someplace that will work with you." and they sell below the guidelines are dishonest business people.
There are business ethics involved when you make a deal with a manufacturer or wholesaler. The "wiggle room" is set forth when you sign up with the manufacturer or distributor. End of story.
